Our partner venue Miradouro de Baixo’s backline is not fully prepared for regular live events especially of the kind we are organising so we’d like to make small regular investments for a period of time to buy microphone stands, microphones, DI boxes, cables, a multitrack recording enabled mixing desk, recording equipment and eventually some instruments to avoid hefty rental fees or unavailabilities that might undermine our events. At the moment Lisbon City is completely oversubscribed with events so it is very expensive and sometime impossible to source backline elements or instruments for events. We have faced the reality of this on one of our events on the 7th August with an international guest, Rick Jensen for whom we had to hire a tenor saxophone for 150 euros. We do not intend to buy wind instruments of course perhaps more essential equipment that might save us funds and allow some risk management in case of shortages.
In terms of timeline we are looking at probably 6 to 8 months of investing a monthly sum of 250$.
