WHAT PROBLEM DO WE WANT TO SOLVE?

One of the problems facing Web3 education in sub-Saharan Africa is wrong methodology.
A significant number of people in this region only have basic education as they couldn’t access adequate formal education hence, they find it difficult to learn and understand complex things or digest teachings done with ambiguous words or sophisticated terms which is common in web3 education.

In the last few years, we’ve seen people who are genuinely interested in web3 lose interest because they find it hard to wrap their hands around. We’ve onboarded a good number of people just for them to disappear not because they don’t want to be a part of the metaverse or the NEAR community but because they don’t understand what is being taught and this has greatly affected the community growth by limiting membership to those who are well educated and technologically inclined.

HOW DO WE INTEND TO SOLVE THIS:

We want to embark on a workshop on BOS to onboard developers and creating and distributing short educational vodcast, focused on already existing Blockchain, Defi, DEX and general web3 education with our main target audience being the semi formally educated/ uneducated African population, users and investors adoption. Each vodcast will be 10-20 minutes max, created in English language without deep web3 terminologies with African pidgin English subtitles. We will adopt the use of a split screen to aid proper breakdown and practical illustrations. By doing so, the knowledge and information will be easily consumed and assimilated. Easy to understand fundamentals and principles in native dialects will help build understanding and nurture the roots of our communities.
We also introduced “Word of the day” which aids the viewers understand the true definition of web3 terms and their use case.

MODE OF DISTRIBUTION:

The official distribution medium of this vodcast is DedeukwuShryne YouTube channel, we will also share across NEAR blockchain social DApps like near.social and other web2 social media platforms such as: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. The key aspects of the vodcast will be extracted and posted as shorts(YouTube shorts) reels and stories.

The BOS BUILD Workshop:
To conduct a comprehensive technical workshop on the Blockchain Operating System (BOS) in Lagos where participants will be onboarded to the BOS, build components and fork widgets.

We are currently in talks with CodePlateau community who will join us online during the workshops, the last day will be irl at Symbiosis place where we will have James Waugh teach the developers how to build.

Hello community, I would like to bring to y’all notice that this proposal was approved here in the forum but later disapproved in the secret by the middle men without any clear reason or public announcement.

We also submitted a prerecorded performance of about 20 mins with 5 artists from our community for CDAO in ETHMilan which cost us a lot to make happen and with the help of @Paul we put it up the BEATDAO mansion in NEARHUB earlier enough but wasn’t displayed or attended to which is evil and discouraging tbh.

Just saying that NEAR isn’t transparent as they preach and that’s why I’m passionate about DEIB, the neglected melanated people are the ones building CDAO and we don’t deserve the disrespect but that’s a blog for another day. All I’m saying here is that we didn’t receive this grant and DedeukwuShryne DAO have officially withdrawn from requesting grant from CDAO but might bring partnership opportunities later in the future.

There are no secret men Dede. It was the NDC trustees who didn’t approve your proposal and this was clearly communicated to you. I remember personally messaging you too.

On the other hand, your DAO had travel allowance (2k USD) to come to Eth Milan for @Dedeukwu annd @NFTMuse. Both of you didn’t attend the conference and we still haven’t received it back.

As you denied sending the funds back on personal chat, this is my official reminder. We will share a consolidated list tomorrow about people who have paid, who will be paying and who have denied the request, post which NDC trustees and enforcer will take a call on how to handle things.

Request you to please send it back to the treasury so there is no action taken.

It is not transparent n anyway, I shared my denial Visa with you and was caused because the embassy didn’t get enough and less information on why we are traveling.

Personally, speaking from an African perspective you don’t expect me to not get denied after spending so much on Visa which isn’t my fault. We have kept and maintained a good relationship and reputation with CDAO but the toxicity and miscommunication including racial bias is too much and there was no written agreement that we will refund and we also played our part to deliver prerecorded performance which y’all didn’t exhibit for some reasons best known to y’all.

We will continue building our interoperable tree curator DAO and products for the DEIB of melanated people in and outside of NEAR.

I personally do not owe anything to anyone and you have no idea the cost of my denied Visa and the cost of the so much time I dedicated to the curation of the ETHMilan even the performance art which y’all didn’t exhibit.

The funds provided were designated as a travel stipend for Eth Milan, contingent on attendance. If you did not attend the event, it is expected that you return the funds promptly.

Bringing up accusations of racial discrimination in response to this request is entirely unfounded and inappropriate.

Furthermore, your art was displayed at the event.
Due to your error in sending the metaverse links to the wrong person and failing to add it to the designated artwork sheet, the metaverse video was not displayed.
Those who followed the correct procedure had their work showcased at the event.

The cost of your visa is your own responsibility and is not something we can cover.

From a council perspective, we made every effort to bring the community together. However, this sense of entitlement has gone too far, and the use of the term “racial discrimination” should be carefully considered before making such allegations.

Racial bias should be used carefully in public to avoid conflict and gloomy outcomes.
Using worlds like this without proof or claim would be a false allegation.

@Cryptonaut this can be resolved amicably, and you mention $2.0k while the report by @Paul said $1.0k kindly confirm.

With other complications like @Dedeukwu saying there’s no agreement to refund, but the funds was distributed for a purpose which was later not achieved, maybe the TC can speak more about this issues before it escalates but IMO Dede any expenditures or other cost which the money later covered??
