NEARWEEK is aggregating and curating information across the NEAR ecosystem. This edition was crowdsourced via 64 news contributions to the NEWS DAO.

Big things around the ecosystem:

4 week transactions overview:

NEAR Wallet Week 37 Update:

• Q4 public roadmap.
• The registered user number is growing quickly, but it’s influenced by spammers skinning very few tokens from the free named account feature.
• The wallet balance is now different: It is now showing the tokens immediately available to spend/stake/and interact with the ecosystem.
• On track to build the new brand for NEAR Wallet.

Results:

• 975k NEAR accounts, 25% more than last week.

• ~147,000 monthly active users, +5.4% from last week.

• New wallet features released:

  • Users sharing their email or mobile numbers during the account creation will no more need 0.2N to receive a free named account.
  • Revamped available account balance, to exclude the unspendable tokens (e.g. from staking).

DAOs:

• SputnikDAO metrics:

  • Total distributed all-time: 722,791 $NEAR
  • Total transactions: 13,619
  • Total DAOs: 209
  • TVL: 427,854 $NEAR

• Sputnik / Astro update

• Three new community council members were announced to be added to the Creatives DAO - the first thematic DAO Vertical working to disseminate the Community Fund to the creative Guilds and DAOs of the ecosystem. This is the first step toward decentralization as NEAR Core members work to hand over the governance of the Creatives DAO entirely to the community by December.

DeFi:

• OIN Finance partnered with Paras and will be releasing a stablecoin.
• Meta Pool will release their stNEAR-backed stablecoin on the OINDAO.
• Skywardfinance is hosting yet another IDO with Paras.

• The EmiSwap DEX received a grant from the NEAR Foundation.
