WE ARE HERE TO INTRODUCE THE TATAOIM.DAO
WHAT IS TATAOIM?
First things first, TATAOIM is the way that a 2 year old kid used to say Peanut Butter in Portuguese (Manteiga de Amendoim = Tataoim).
TATAOIM is also a vegan restaurant/cultural spot that opened its doors in September of 2021 at the historical neighborhood of Graça in Lisbon, Portugal.
Idealized by the singer, songwriter and chef Barbara Rodrix and by the singer, songwriter and communicator Rods Rodrigues to celebrate and grow the vegan culture in Lisbon, but also to connect musicians, poets and any arts supporter in jams with the potential of becoming an audiovisual project.
In less than one year we already became part of the lively energy of the city vegan culture and received a bunch of Brazilian and Portuguese artists at our house. Such as Latin Grammy Winner Paulo Novaes, Portugal’s Eurovision Winner Salvador Sobral, MARO, Raul Misturada, Mari Segura, Gabriela Abreu, Janeiro and more.
About Barbara Rodrix - @barbararodrix
Barbara graduated at the Escola de Música do Estado de São Paulo - Tom Jobim Conservatory (2017), but has a long history with music at home, being daughter of the great Brazilian artist, Zé Rodrix. Released two studio albums, ‘Ninguém Me Conhece’ (2006) and ‘Eu Mesmo’ (2016). Her music with Luiza Possi, ‘Lembra’, travelled the hole Brazilian territory as part of the soundtrack of the soap opera ‘Orgulho e Paixão’ (2018, TV GLOBO).
Barbara participated on the biggest Brazilian Musical Festivals and won the first price on FAMPOP Avaré in 2016. During the year of 2018, she travelled with MPB4 - the historical Brazilian vocal group - on a tour throughout Brazil.
Since 2021, Barbara puts her passion for the vegan kitchen and culture at TATAOIM, so far the most ambitious project, where she can combine vegan food, music, arts and culture in one place.
About Rods Rodrigues - @tataoim
Rods Rodrigues graduated in Social Communication (2009) at Universidade Anhembi-Morumbi in São Paulo, Brazil, has a specialization in TV Screenplay and studied one year Audiovisual Communication at Universidad Europea de Madrid in Spain. As TV Presenter, reporter and screenwriter, participated in several projects, as TV CULTURA’s show ‘Programa Novo (2009-2011) and Login (2011), both daily national TV Shows. Interviewed names as Tom Zé, Arnaldo Baptista, Faith No More, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Quentin Tarantino, Hugh Jackman, Alicia Vikander and many more. At PLAYTV, wrote and presented dozens of shows, such as Pop-Up (2012-2018), ’Combo Fala + Joga’ (2012-2015), Fundo Verde (2016), Gamezone World Cup 2014.
As a musician, released four studio albums, ‘Dalai’ (2012), ’Nibiru’ (2015), ‘The Unbelievable’ (2016) and ‘Fly’ (2019).
Into the vegan culture since 2018, now he runs and manage TATAOIM, celebrating all his passions.

In Brazil, the couple already produced and gathered the artists community in a series of events of live music and fine-arts. Called ‘Impulso Apresenta’, they opened their house and pool, receiving members of the so called New Brazilian Music, such as: Leandro Léo, Bruna Moraes, Tó Brandileone, Pedro Alterio.
‘Impulso Apresenta’ also presented the painter Pamela Munhoz, the art work of Rods Rodrigues, the tattoo artist Jeng-Ho and more.

TATAOIM.DAO
After being part of projects for CRIATURA&BERI.DAO and being introduced by Gabriela Abreu (@gabrielaabreu) about Incubator funding with NEAR, Barbara and Rods realized that this space and culture that they developed in one year should take a next step in partnership with NEAR Protocol building a strong ecosystem that values creativity, arts and vegan way of life.
Tataoim was scenery for the NEAR funding project from CRIATURA&BERI.DAO. A music video with the music of Barbara Rodrix and Raul Misturada. Next month, the restaurant will be part of another CRIATURA&BERI.DAO project: a Workshop of Creative Writing ‘LIVROFICINA’ with Giu Frascino.
Our food, music, hospitality and events connect this historical neighborhood as a community and now we want to put this community in a WEB3 ecosystem, building a larger group of creative people.
Rods and Barbara will be the Council for the projects at TATAOIM.DAO, using their several work experiences in favor of putting the vegan and arts community at the crypto and NEAR Ecosystem.
Music, photos, fine-arts, food, recipes, podcasts as tools for emerge great minds that we are in contact since we opened our restaurant.
