UBUNTU PHOTOGRAPHY FELLOWSHIP INCUBATION PROGRAM

The Ubuntu Photography Fellowship: a new community on NEAR announces its Incubation Program: a training for aspiring creative photographers to nurture their skills in creative photography and photojournalism while also being inducted into the web 3 way for sales of photo art as NFTs.

What does this incubation entail? in order to define this properly, we need to understand what the UBUNTU PHOTOGRAPHY FELLOWSHIP is all about. The UBUNTU PHOTOGRAPHY FELLOWSHIP which was once titled the Pictorial and Documentary Photography community is a commune of creative photographers who want to leverage the power of community in assisting each other towards the right education and inclination in Web 3. The sole purpose of web 3 for the commune is to acclamatize with the blockchain as the appropriate and legitimate medium for art exchange whence these creative photographers can sell their photos as NFTs on the blockchain and make good money. To define the Incubation program, just like every other incubation propgram, it is a course of grooming for aspiring creative photographers who naturally possess the nuance of imaginary dynamism, emotion and colour needed for the story telling of photo journalism and art appeal of creative photography. An extra advantage to this incubation program is that the qualified graduands are automatically inducted into the UBUNTU PHOTOGRAPHY FELLOWSHIP ART RESIDENCY and are provided the necessary resources and theme in order to contribute content to the fellowship while also learning about Web 3 technology and the opportunity of selling their work as NFTs.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Aspiring creative photographers who would like to be a part of the incubation program would have to meet up with the below listed criteria

  1. Must have joined the UBUNTU PHOTOGRAPHY FELLOWSHIP community and be following on their socials

  2. Must have opened a near wallet and have a profile on the near governance forum website gov.near.org

  3. Must have at least 10 creative photographs in their name as a testament of genuine enthusiasm of the craft

  4. Must be willing to meet up on calls at least once a week for review of what they have learnt so far during the incubation

  5. Must be willing to contribute to the community and be available for completion of simple tasks that add value to the community

BENEFIT

  1. Would be educated by professionals in the field of creative photography and photojournalism at no cost

  2. Would be provided the necessary material and documentation for the incubation duration

  3. Learn basics about web3, Blockchains and how NFts work

  4. Receive tokens for on chain transactions and minting fees

  5. Eligible for consideration for NFT residency program by the fellowship

The Incubation program spans a total of one month and is defined from the time of the individual joining the fellowship

The residency is an opportunity for creative photographers and photojournalists to receive funding ($200) for their photography project so long as it follows the recurrent theme as directed by the UBUNTU PHOTOGRAPHY FELLOWSHIP and a percentage splits in sales of the NFTs of the completed project. The Theme of the UBUNTU PHOTOGRAPHY FELLOWSHIP is humanity, love, oneness, social cohesion, unity and resonance and the necessary direction for the creative material to be produced by these creative photographers/photojournalist. Upon completion of the project by the creators, the Fellowship reserves 50 % rights to sale revenue, 5% rights on royalties and full copyright license on the produced images. The Fellowship would ne in charge of marketing and promotion of the project upon receipt from the creators
The UBUNTU PHOTOGRAPHY FELLOWSHIP is also liable to support the creative photographers/photojournalists in other ways deemed necessary for the smooth delivery of their work. This support can range from necessary educative material or local equipment rental links and the necessary web 3 networks needed.

Eligibility
Below are the listed critieria for eligibility to receive funding from the UBUNTU PHOTOGRAPHY FELLOWSHIP for the residency

  1. Must have an actively engaging social media presence. Tiktok or instagram and twitter

  2. Must have not less than 1000 followers on instagram.

  3. Must have links to legitimate porfolio of pre-existing work

  4. Must have base knowledge of NFTs or must have heard about them before one way or the other

  5. Must be a member of the community (or having joined) and must own a near wallet

  2. Support from community in information and assistance regarding creative direction technical knowledge (chain)

  3. Marketing and Promotional machinery made available by the fellowship which would market the project and more visibility and traction for the creator

  4. Revenue on sales of NFTs, forever royalties on secondary sales
