Hi everyone,
Great news: a major proposal is coming up for voting at House of Stake:
HoS delegates will be asked to decide on a program allocating a portion of protocol emissions to support NEAR mission-critical infrastructure: MPC nodes powering Chain Signatures.
Why this matters
NEAR Intents and Chain Signatures rely on MPC nodes to provide secure, distributed cryptographic signing across chains. These nodes are not experimental. They are core production infrastructure that directly underpins NEAR’s intent-based execution model and its multi-chain strategy.
This is about keeping the protocol operationally sound at its foundations.
Why this is good news
For the first time, House of Stake should be trusted with managing the disbursement of protocol emissions (provided the vote passes).
That trust didn’t appear overnight. It’s the result of our consistent work over the past weeks, and it signals real momentum: HoS governance bodies stepping into responsibility for decisions that materially affect protocol survival.
Will the ratification of the HoS Constitutional Doc be on hold?
No, nothing is on hold.
We are finalizing the legal review and will share the Constitution and Proposal & Voting Procedures next week to formally kick off ratification. Until then, the existing Interim Constitution and Proposal Process remain in force (available here).
Questions?
Happy to answer.
Join the GM HoS Community Call tonight to discuss the proposal, the rationale behind it, and what it means for House of Stake going forward.
