Discover BOS monthly report -December

I’m pleased to provide a short monthly update on our progress towards our second report. Despite the delay in our library curation that took longer than expected to be completed. We are proud to announce that we were able to finalize much more productive alternatives than what we had previously planned."

Objective 1: Developer Engagement
Justification: The allocated funds are intended to engage developers through workshops, community outreach.

Milestones and Deliverables:

  • Our cofounder presented a RL workshop during WebFusion hackathon with NEAR Africa from Nov 27 to Nov 30. Which contributed to attract many devs from ETH ecosystem to engage with the Blockchain Operating System.

  • Same logic applied here, for developers on GitHub to discuss BOS’s React integration we need to complete our library curation and have a final product done before showcasing it to developers.
  • Community outreach started since last month, and few partnerships have been made with regional hubs like Near Vietnam, Near Indonesia, Near Africa and Flipside.

Objective 2: Accelerating DiscoverBOS Growth
Justification: The goal here is to produce content that will increase developer engagement, and marketing efforts to propel DiscoverBOS’s growth within the NEAR ecosystem.

Milestones and Deliverables:

Launched in December, our initiative coincided with a period of active development, where our back-end team was diligently refining key components like project curation and library selection, essential for crafting comprehensive guides. Despite these ongoing developments, we successfully hosted a Twitter Space akin to an audio podcast. This platform quickly resonated across numerous L2 communities, effectively spreading awareness about the blockchain operating system and its distinctive use of chain abstraction, showcasing our unique insights and expertise in the field.

Objective 3: Marketing and Branding Justification:
The allocated funds aim to enhance marketing efforts and establish DiscoverBOS as a leading gateway within the NEAR ecosystem.
Milestones and Deliverables:

  • The branding of our page has been set.
  • We have been able to create over 35 visually engaging and informative posts and threads promoting DiscoverBOS and the whole NEAR ecosystem more widely since September and intend to continue in that direction, with the possibility to
  • Regarding our ambassador program, we consider it to be a cornerstone of our outreach strategy. We already started with initial activities on Telegram, showcasing early successes and engaging our community. As we enter Q1, we are gearing up for a full-scale launch. As stated since, our development team is currently in the final stages of content curation, a critical step to ensure that DiscoverBOS is fully equipped and primed for extensive promotion. This phased approach, starting with a soft launch on Telegram followed by a more in depth rollout, is crafted to ensure an impactful introduction of our gateway, firmly establishing DiscoverBOS as an easy educational tool to learn about the OpenWebStack.

In conclusion, the extended timeline for the full launch of our application has led to some small setbacks for december. Nonetheless, our efforts contributed to make DiscoverBOS known to a much broader audience.
