[CLOSED] NEAR Africa Proposal June - July

At NEAR Africa we’re dedicated to advancing Africa’s decentralized future through inclusive education, vibrant community building, open-source contributions, and developer support. Over the next two months, our focus is on accelerating progress in these areas to empower individuals and communities across the continent. Additionally, we intend to bridge the gap between Web2 and Web3 by actively engaging Web2 developers and their communities.

Our past activities

  1. Host an in-person workshop in Abuja, Nigeria, focusing on chain abstarction, BOS, and open-source contributions within the NEAR ecosystem. The workshop will prominently feature presentations and interactive sessions by key projects such as Build DAO, Mintbase, NEAR Devhub, and Potluck.
  2. Target Web2 developer communities in Abuja, including Abuja Tech Creatives, Bitcoin developers Abuja, Open Source Community Africa, and Polygon Guild Abuja, alongside entrepreneurs and university students, to foster cross-pollination of ideas and expertise between traditional and decentralized technologies.
  3. Aim to attract an audience of 100-200 individuals, ensuring broad representation from diverse backgrounds to maximize the workshop’s impact and reach.

What impact will this have?
