I decided to step down as a council from Onboarding DAO with effective date 1st of February.
Why I am stepping down ?
Because of the lack of time, as I’m heavily involved in BeatDAO and NxM activities - in general with music on NEAR, so I decided that the best solution, will be to pass the DAO, to the folks in our community.
With that being said, I’d like to find someone who will be keen to move things forward with this DAO.
Hello Paul,
Could you please describe the DAO (mission, aims, steps, members, etc) you represent?
I see the description on Twitter, but it’s not clear.
What’s your role in the DAO?
The main mission is to create a guide for newcomers and educate them about NEAR, fund the events IRL and in digital space.
Regarding my role - I was responsible for recaps and reports in general + funding requests. I was also looking for the guests to dao’s AMA events on Twitter.
UPDATE: With Fritz throwing his hat in the ring, he is much more qualified then me. You couldn’t ask for a better leader. I will withdraw this application.
I haven’t been a council in any of the DAO but I’m an active member in the near forum and also have great interest in educating new comers here. I wish I could be of help
I can assure you that I have being active here on the forum and other communication channels, sharing ideas, connecting, helping in whatever I can to build projects, onboard new members and have a good time while we all walk together into a better word provided by the web3.
Also, the projects I participate are always focused on the onboarding, I am always here to be helpful with the onboarding as it is the most important thing now from my point of view, thats why for example I share the initiative of the NEAR P2P project aor helped Igboze here:
Here I share a list of users I have brought into the NEAR community forum, few of them are high quality contributors, thats why I received this badge.
Great.
How many members are in the community/DAO?
IRL means ‘in real life’, right? Do they from different regions?
I was thinking about onboarding new users (mas adoption) and have some ideas. But it would be great if you can share your experience.
About your role: do you want to delegate your duties to a new consul or distribute them among all?
Aren’t you overfilling your sched with these opportunities? Paul is stepping down as Council due to other guild handlings as specified in the post. What can you say @Dacha
Yeah, it is hard because the ones that have the knowledge to create solutions and help to move forward, are also the ones that belong already to other projects or DAOs or Guilds, and that’s why they can fulfill the requirements:
As @Dacha knows I am able to onboard nearcomers to take new responsabilities, for example:
Would be great to see new people in the DaO. I’m about equal access for everyone and decentralization. I like when people focused on one-two projects on Near.
