Payout proposal for AVB (me) as Council member of the Marketing DAO for the period December 2021 to March 2022. Last payout proposal that I put in was for November 2021.
Marketing DAO has been very busy, not just with our daily duties that include reading, reviewing, approving and following up on projects submitting proposals and running campaigns, but also keeping with with the rapidly evolving landscape of the crypto world and NEAR more specifically.
I am proud that while there have been many experiments with varying degrees of success at every level of the NEAR ecosystem, the Marketing DAO has continued to operate, learn from these experiences and grow. Most recently we have achieved two major milestones:
Successfully transitioned into a fully community driven DAO as Foundation members stepped down, slightly ahead of the March 2022 deadline.
Added two new Council Members, after onboarding them as Advisors for several months. @MktngDAO_Advisors bring a wealth of marketing experience that will help of grow.
We are aware of some of the existing challenges and are in constant communication with members of the community to explore ways in which we can continue to grow and make processes more efficient. Feedback is always welcomed.
Payout Request
Part of the reasons why I’ve delayed applying for the monthly payouts were due to the KYC changes introduced in January, and the pressure this put on NEAR Foundation, I wanted to give priority to all community members to have their applications and payouts processed first.
This proposal is actually comprised of four separate proposals, one for each month:
December 2021 - 400 NEAR
January 2022 - 400 NEAR
February 2022 - 400 NEAR
March 2022 - 400 NEAR
Important note: in January 2022, as NEAR hit an ATH of $20, we agreed to bring down the NEAR amount to 250 NEAR. Since then, there have been no Community Council member requests and the price of NEAR has stabilised back down to the average of $10 (what it was when the 400 NEAR was agreed). After a discussion with fellow council members, and considering we have been approving subsequent proposals retroactively to make up for price fluctuations, it makes sense to me to maintain the 400 NEAR balance (this is open to discussion going forward as more community Council Members join).
As a fellow Marketing DAO council member and having read the excellent post by @satojandro I would like to avoid making a duplicate post to request my remuneration .
I am very pleased with the progress that the DAO has made this year. In particular the superb contribution that @Dacha makes by keeping track of the proposals and payouts, the welcome addition to the team of @so608 and @Klint as full council members.
It makes me proud to be part of what is now a fully independent community run DAO vertical with the departure @David_NEAR and @jcatnear. I believe we are more than ready to meet the challenges going forward and to build a full marketing service to the community.

As a Marketing DAO council, a reviewed over 150 proposals since December till now, together with councils and advisors approved over 200k payments for 50 different DAO’s, projects and Near Community Members, improved communication between Community and service guilds, for transparency purposes created Marketing DAO Excel table, prepared guides to improve service, work 24/7 with grantees here and on telegram, trying to do my best to avoid any delays with your proposals.
I Work with Near Discord channel (RU/UA) threads, help to new Near community members with new wallets comission fee.
I Share open oppotunities in Near telegram gropus to give a chance to our millions memebrs do something more for Communuty. Glad to see new contributors in OWS, Nearweek and Onboarding DAO.
A month ago, I have started to work under my project Near Games Group:
The main goal is mass adoption. We came together all active gamers, dev teams and crypto influencers.
We already have, 1057 members on telegram group (Near Games guild, Human, Games Devs, YouTube Influencers, active gamers)
I like not only the quantity (it shows the vibrancy of NEAR ecosystem and community) but most importantly the quality of most of the proposals and the detailed constructive feedback you provided. Thank you!
