Introduction

In its second month of existence, our guild plans to continue supporting writers in the Near ecosystem, show the projects being made through funding and bring more people to join us in the blockchain.

We see writing as an open and diverse thing, so in our first month we funded projects as diverse as scriptwriting, songwriting, short stories and academic books, as you can see in our March report.

April plans and projects

In April, we intend to keep growing our community and allowing writers from over the globe to pursue their writing. To expand our presence on the web and publicize projects from our members, we created a social media plan for funding directly from the Marketing DAO, so we can invest our monthly budget on member proposals. We also intend to do our first two bounties: one to have an official logo; other to reach wider audiences and bring more writers to our guild.

Keeping diversity in mind, here are the projects that the Writer’s Guild has selected to carry out in the month of April:

  1. Proposal to compose 4 spoken word poetry NFT’s
(800 usd in NEAR) submitted by @Oblakofficialss

  2. Asemic writting
(300 usd in NEAR) submitted by @pinkalsky

  3. Poetry transcreations
(750 usd in NEAR) submitted by @bagadefente

  4. Script development por multimedia Opera - The dawn at noon to the sea
(250 usd in NEAR) submitted by @blusw

  5. Two articles: “FEMINU - an exhibition that became a DAO” and “FEMINU - a curator and the lessons about gender”
(260 usd in NEAR) submitted by @Ghini

  6. Educated Tout: A 40 Poem Anthology
(650 usd in NEAR) submitted by @BigM007

  7. Writing Bounty
600 usd in NEAR will be allocated to a poetry and prose bounty which will award participants 0.5 NEAR. The bounty will be shared with the community through social media. Participants will be directed to submit their work within the NEAR forums along with their NEAR wallet address and social media account handle. Entries will be shared on The Writer’s Guild Twitter and within the group Telegram. Entries will be accepted up until the bounty budget allocation is exhausted.

  8. Logo Bounty
240 usd in NEAR will be allocated to a logo bounty. This bounty will award the total amount to the entrant selected by the council members via vote. This bounty opportunity will be shared within the NEAR Creative Community to encourage participation.

  9. Council work
1150 usd in NEAR equally splitted among the 7 council members
(164 usd in NEAR each, and 2 for the treasury).

TOTAL BUDGET: 5000 usd in NEAR

Timeline: April 7st - 31th (except one project expands to end of May)

Thank you,

I am flattered to have received the approval of this project, which is an adventure in writing, a challenge that I have overcome throughout this year writing proposals for the ecosystem. But this time it’s like artistic content, here I love to create.
Excited to see the results of this project

Guys, just a point:

Why your KYC contact not is member of your council? Some reason for that?

Hi @hevertonharieno,

first, thanks for the approval!
it’s encouraging to get this vote of confidence from the Community Moderators

about the KYC contact, he is indeed part of our council, but perhaps the confusion was due to the difference between his usernames in the forum and in the wallet.

I updated the council members part on this proposal to make it easier.
