As one year ends and another starts it is good to reflect on the experiences gained.
I started contributing to the Marketing DAO in the summer of last year and it has been an amazing experience for me. As an old skool marketing man i never imagined that i would become part of a dynamic cutting edge blockchain project.
The NEAR Protocol community has achieved much in its first year. The community has grown and is still growing, attracting talent and expertise from all corners of the world.
I believe that the marketing component is an important one, requiring as much attention and planning as any other aspect of a project. I am humbled to be part of the Marketing DAO that has provided funds and support to nearly every major project built on NEAR. In 2021 we funded over 130 marketing proposals with a combined value of 38,000 NEAR.
In December, the DAO council continued its work reviewing and voting on proposals. We also welcomed a new council member @Dacha who brings his strong analytical ability and tireless involvement with this Forum to our council.
I personally have also been working to complete preparations for the Gen C Workshop that will be running later this week. We hope to use this event to recruit people who will bring their professional experience to support the DAO in the future. Look out for more details shortly!

As one of the community members of the @marketingdao-council I will be requesting payment in line with the September / October / November payout.

UPDATE - following recent increases in the value of NEAR, and inconsultation with other DAO council members it has been agreed that Marketing DAO community council members will reduce the value of their monthly payout requests to 250 NEAR, effective from January 2022.
Same high level of involvement and service at a lower price
