This is a proposal very similar to what we already had in js13kGames 2021 (and Gamedev.js Jam 2021 & 2022) - to offer a dedicated NEAR Challenge as part of the Decentralized category in the competition.
The js13kGames itself is an online competition running yearly since 2012, between August 13th and September 13th. In 2021 we’ve introduced a new Decentralized category, with a few Challenges available to participants. We’ve received 14 Decentralized entries (out of 223 total) and the overall sentiment was very positive. A few developers worked on post-compo builds of their games, released full versions, got further grants, and won other competitions and prizes with them.
The idea is to offer $NEAR coins to game developers implementing NEAR.js functionalities in their submissions, with top5 being gradually awarded. The amounts asked are similar to what was requested a year ago (and in both editions of Gamedev.js Jam).
