[ANNOUNCEMENT] NEAR Globe DAO March 2024 Funding Process

Hello Everyone!

We are sharing the details for the upcoming March funding round from the Globe DAO. As we continue to champion regional communities.

Note: Use NDC Application Template format to submit your proposal.

Timeline for March 2024

  • 2 Feb - 7 Feb: Applicants to submit proposals on NEAR Forum under the Globe DAO category.

  • 8 Feb - 12 Feb: Globe DAO’s councils will review the proposals.

  • 12 Feb - 13 Feb: Councils submit funding requests to the HoM. KYC/KYB processes for approved applicants begin.

  • 13 Feb - 17 Feb: HoM members review the funding request, voting & providing feedbacks.

  • 17 Jan - 23 Jan: CoA to review and votes on funding requests.

    Once approved, Grassroots DAOs initiate a transfer to NDC Trust.
    Currently, HoM and CoA are considering changes to speed up the step: MEMO - Google Docs

    For KYC/KYB: KYC is required for all applicants and the guide will be provided by HoM and Ops team.

Globe DAO’s Primary Focus

The Near Globe to support and assist regional communities in representing NEAR across various countries. Additionally, it will focus on fostering communities in specific languages within the NEAR ecosystem. We support communities willing to spread NEAR in their respective regions with our KPIs. For details about KPIs,you can read our CHARTER.

KPIs/Metrics for evaluation

  • Accounts retention after 1/2/4/8 weeks — the percentage of accounts who continue interacting on the chain over a given time period (higher is better).

  • Account acquisition cost — budget divided by the number of accounts interacting through the funded initiative (lower is better).

  • Median number of dApps used by P95 accounts retained for 1+ week (higher is better).

  • Number of accounts retained for 1+ week using at least three dApps (higher is better)

  • Social engagement score — some compound metric of the number of posts, likes, and followers/views in social media produced by the users.

  • Use the formula (Total Likes, Shares & Comments / Total Followers) X 100 = Average Engagement Rate (AER) %
