Due to transitions into NDC, MDAO has changed the proposal procedure:
Since August 2023, please use the following steps:
Funding process for Marketing DAO applicants:
The following is the process of submission to review within the NEAR Governance Forum for funding consideration under the Marketing DAO.
- Forum Posting:
- Applicants submit proposals by creating a new post on the NEAR Governance Forum, tagging the Marketing DAO between 1st and 10th date of each month, also during this time MDAO applicants should share their reports.
- Council Review:
- Between 11th-15th dates of each month, the council and advisors of the Marketing DAO will access your proposal post on the forum and application submitted via the form, relying on the details shared in your forum post.
- Council Feedback:
- Marketing DAO council members give feedback and ask questions. Ultimately, each council and advisor member aims to make a decision confirming support or rejection of the proposal in public on the Forum or in the Marketing DAO spreadsheet within 4 calendar days (11th-15th).
- Proposal Decision:

The minimum required to pass or reject a proposal may change over time as the size of the Marketing DAO Council expands or contracts, but it should always be equal to 51% of the votes. Councils should have in mind advisors’ opinion.

Proposal Approved: A proposal is approved [Approved] if it receives three or more positive feedback from the Marketing DAO council members. The title of the post on the Forum will be updated to [Approved].

Proposal Rejected: Proposals that fail to receive support from the majority of the council will be rejected [Rejected]. If the proposal is rejected, the council encourages the proper to revise the proposal and try again later.
- Closing Proposals: The Marketing DAO council can close [Closed] a proposal if the applicant requests it to be closed, or it violates Community guidelines, or has received no response from the applicant to council member requests for additional information.
Members of the forum are encouraged to submit proposals with ample lead time and be aware of general timelines for evaluating proposals and payout. Request funding at least 8 weeks before you will require the funds.

KYC and funding:

The Marketing DAO will prepare a final budget for the NDC trust according to the list of approved proposals and send a funding request to the NDC trust. At the same time, applicants who got approvals from MDAO and MDAO constellation will be invited to pass KYC. Please remember that the approved proposal doesn’t mean the approved payment will be executed. Applicants should complete and pass KYC/KYB/AML and others required by NDC, NDC tryst, MDAO trust forms, and sign required paperwork.
Please note:
- MDAO is not responsible for losses related to a change in the Near price, for slippage, etc. (but you can include the possible expenses in proposal);
- You don’t need anymore to create polls on Astro DAO. Funding will be executed on your/DAO wallet from MDAO treasure in NEAR tokens;
- Can be some delays for reasons beyond MDAO procedures and force majeures.
TL/DR:
- 1-10 time for your proposals and reports;
- 11-15 time for reviewing and approvals;
- 16th-by the end of the month time for KYC and payments;
