We had an NGO event organised by 7 students to clean up the oceans by picking recyclable materials, and also sell the recyclables in exchange for money to raise educational funds for children.
On the 18th of june some students and volunteers went to clean up eleguishi beach, lagos and gather recyclable materials like plastic bottles, paper, nylons, and tins and save the ocean from marine pollution
funds allocated were used to purchase items like printed t.shirts with near logo as sponsors, cleaning materials,gatefee ,transportation,food e.t.c
furthermore during relaxation and fun, we spoke to the volunteers about the decentralisation and near ecosystem.
we were also able to open 13 wallets for volunteers who were interested to be a part of the ecosystem.
