Proposal to NFT DAO for DeFiShards platform

I’m happy to share with the NFT DAO what we’ve prepared for our first proposal
under the upcoming project DefiShards , and the activity channels that we aim to
exploit are on product development and marketing.

But before we get into that, let me introduce you to our project.

WHO WE ARE

DefiShards is a project at the core of the NEAR’s NFT ecosystem. Our mission is to
combine the aesthetics and playfulness inherent in the culture of NFTS and to
associate it with the pragmatic and utilitarian character that DeFi brings to the
industry.

Our objective was born in June 2023 in the plain bear market after experiencing
losses of more than 90% on assets that we really considered to have value.

It was following these incidents that our desire was born, that of wanting to eradicate
the over-speculation attached to the NFT and to bring it a lasting character so that
more users are no longer cheated when they wish to support an artist or a project.
Known for it’s unique account key model and the amazing flexibility it provides,
NEAR was the natural place for Defishards to deploy the project.

Imagine playing a crucial role in the culture of the Open Web, where we offer
to users the power to own their digital asset under an NFT; this is our goal.

WHY DEFISHARDS

  • PROBLEM

The illiquidity from which most NFTs suffer and the added absence of inherent value
further complicates the dynamics of NFT game theory with excessive speculation.
Additionally, the notion of genuine ownership is undermined for users, as digital
artworks are created within launchpad contracts, not allowing for full custody.

  • SOLUTION

Defishards combines the best of DeFi x NFT technology by making token swaps
easier through NFTs wrapped with assets in a vault under an unique smart contract.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE

Our product serves any users that have already interacted with decentralized
applications. We aim at targeting 3 categories in particular in the short term.
• Intra NEAR protocol
• From chains with strong NFT culture (Solana/Sui/Polygon)
• From chains with strong DEFI culture (Ethereum/Cosmos/Avalanche)

MARKET ANALYSIS

• Market Demand: After assessing the current demand for DeFi and NFT
projects on NEAR Protocol and the broader blockchain ecosystem, we’ve
seen that there is a significantly high demand for NFTs and DeFi products.

Integration and Innovation:

We bring a unique value proposition. The
integration between DeFi and NFT functionalities has already significantly
impacted user adoption and investment returns if we look at the results of a
competitor like Pandora on Ethereum (ERC-404)

ROADMAP

BUDGET :

Intro

After investing $12,776 of our own funds to set up the testnet, cover administrative
expenses, modest advertising campaigns, and service fees, we have been able to
reach the MVP with a live testnet as well as generate excitement from the entire
NEAR community. The project has been completely bootstrapped for the last 5
months.

The enthusiasm for our project is unequivocally very significant within the community and even within the Near Foundation. We have been able to gather a
very large part of the NEAR community within our Telegram group, as well as
keep people informed of our progress and the importance of having absolute
control over their assets through our Twitter page. All our progress has been made
without external funds, and we are more than convinced that in addition to the support of the community multiplied by the support you will provide us, we will be
able to execute our roadmap for 2024.

To complete our project and bring it to the mainnet until its commercialization, we
require the economic support of grassroots as well as your leadership to
harmonize procedures between the different organizations of the ecosystem in
order to conduct our fundraising campaign.

We are currently participating in a 4 week builders program conducted by
backdrop build.

Budget Breakdown :

Our strategy revolves around two main pillars: building launchpad and marketing.

  • 2 Full time developers for 1 month:

Backend dev - $3500/month

Frontend dev - $1500/month

  • Marketing : $1000/month

Our focus would be on social media posts/explainers and running zealy campaigns to
bring more awarness and direct user onboarding. We expect to launch mainnet in April
and keep pushing marketing activities alongside till then.

KPIs :

Extend the root contract functionality that we have built to the NFT launchpad
contract and focus on building the full creator suite for a seamless artist login

ETA for the Demo version of the above is targeted for 1 month

Onboard 500+ new users via Sharddog tool & the social campaigns ensuring that
they participate in our activities. (Since we have more visibility, we will also try our
best to make these users interact with other applications built on NEAR and
maintain a record of that).

Achieve 50k+ impressions and added followers count on our X account.

Our other main focus would be to increase the members interactions in our
telegram channel to receive constant feedback for product iteration.

During this phase of funding, we intend to fully dedicate our efforts towards the
mainnet beta of the launchpad that we are currently building.

Conclusion :

By strategically allocating resources, our objective is to catalyze Defishards’
expansion, establish ourselves as the premier benchmark for NFT x DeFi projects,
and boost involvement and dynamism within the NEAR ecosystem.

Our mission is to foster synergy around NFTs and DeFi through our platform, serving
as a bridge that connects diverse elements of the NEAR landscape. The effect of this
funding support will be meticulously monitored via our targeted KPIs.

We position ourselves as the central hub for all projects and communities on NEAR,
facilitating interaction and growth across the network.

intuitive experience for everyone on NEAR & beyond.

I have been voluntarily working alongside DeFiShards for the past few months as an advisor. As technical advisor of NFT DAO, I wouldn’t consider development for this project until code is open sourced.
