               **EXECUTIVE SUMMARY** 

NEAR NIGERIA the largest Regional guild in Africa as decided to use the next 3 month to transform itself as a gateway to marketing and community building for various projects in NEAR ECOSYSTEM into Nigeria and Africa and to fulfil this the guild as to strengthen its arms in relation to partnerships, marketing, community building, Event hosting and finally the developer aspects of the guild.
This as been actively going on since the month of june and we were amazed by the result accomplished last month JUNE REPORT

 **METHODS OF ACHIEVING THIS MONTH GOALS**
  1. Increasing activities within the NEAR Nigeria telegram group in terms of number and interactions.

  2. Increasing activities in NEAR Nigeria social media accounts in popular platforms, so that individuals and corporate bodies can use it to get relevant information and stay updated.

3)Creation of at least SIX quality written contents per month which will explain simple basics of blockchain, NEAR ecosystem and its vast use cases per month.

4)Creation of two interactive videos addressing programming, creatives and any other issues Nigerians need further explanation on and Video demonstration of some of the articles above which would be published on Medium and uploaded on our YouTube and made visible through our website.

5)Creation of at least 6 graphics/Infographics/memes per week used to create short term education content which will be used to interact with our communities on various social media platforms and also creation of graphics for NEAR related activities and events.

6)Translation of already prepared articles into the three major ethnic languages in Nigeria, meaning we expect to have a minimum of 12 translations by the end of the month.

7)Continuation of NPK TALK series which is NEAR NIGERIA NEWSLETTER highlighting various topics in NEAR ecosystem, Nigerian involvement in blockchain, developers aspects of NEAR Nigeria and common issues generally talked about in Nigeria cryptosphere.

8)Hosting weekly AMA sections and Twitter spaces one in NEAR Nigeria social media groups and second in any of Nigeria creator or developer group or exchange groups as we noticed, many exchanges where $NEAR is trading that have a Nigerian community know little about NEAR and really don’t know how to explore the ecosystem or Dapps built on it.

9)Partnership and collaboration as we aim to establish at least one partnership a month targeting popular crypto media blogs, developer hubs, university hubs and blockchain influencers here in Nigeria and Africa.

10)Hosting of various small meetups once per month in high schools, polytechnics, school of technologies and various departments in various universities and various communities in Nigeria

  1. Onboarding 100 individuals per month via activation of wallets and creation of bounties this newbies can use to interact with the NEAR ECOSYSTEM

  2. Collaboration and marketing of various projects in Nigeria and Africa

  3. Creation of Technical content to onboard and train devs

Hey guys – I’m reviewing the past proposal – for June, the MarketingDAO council approved $3000 for NEAR Nigeria activities.

The funding requests for the next two months are significantly higher. Can you clarify your reasoning for significantly increasing the requested amount after one month so we can understand that?

We had also asked before about the possibility of collaborating with @Sankore2.0 – did those discussions continue after your initial conversation with them (shared in June proposal)?

Yep, due to the market condition at then we were asked to cut down on some activities which we did due to the market conditions at that time. Various project some relative startups wanted increasing their presence in Nigeria meetup with us to do Various marketing activities for them which we did Free. So to make sure Various unit inputs are rewarded we created this new structure which will be in accordance with what other Regional guilds/ marketing bodies receives but yet cheaper than most, that is why there is this new structure.

Yes we metup with @Sankore2.0 guild and mazi told me the regional hub is for east Africa and since Nigeria is considered for a Regional hub we believe soonest we would be a Regional hub in charge of west Africa.

July budget is $5068,
August is $8068, because we want to support women involvement in blockchain so in partnership with a body called WOMEN IN DEFI we would be hosting a physical event in Edo state that is why August proposal is $5068 + $3000 = $8068

I am only willing to consider one month at a time, specially with complex proposals with a lot of items to review and discuss.

In regards to July;

  • Congratulations on the recent shift towards being a service provider to others on the ecosystem
  • What is the relationship of that partnership? Are you able to generate revenue from the provision of services?
  • We would like and expect all projects to grow into either being sustainable (generate own revenue) or ‘graduate’ into larger and more formal sources of funding (i.e. Regional Hub with funding directly from NEAR Foundation)
  • Community Funds could still be used to cover the cost of NPK providing services to other (smaller) community projects who do not have the funds to pay for your services
  • This model is preferred for two reasons; NPK and partner are in a much better position to negotiate the amount of value generated by the work and accompanying fees; and NPK should be able to generate much higher revenue (uncapped) compared to Marketing DAO. We have no way of assessing quality or value and do have limits on funding

Like you said we do alot of activities in a month and that isnt surprising NEAR NIGERIA is a regional Guild and we have the resources needed to push any startup from scratch to completion in terms of community, marketing and developers skills.

In regards to our partnership with various projects, we have been having issues with projects who wish to do one or two marketing activities or the other, payment of services are usually a problem to new startups and yet apart from AMAs they will still need us to engage with their various activities derailing us from our main objectives and the team had to spend more hours outside their preferred time frames per day which is quite tiresome especially when those hours are UNPAID

Second we noticed that for projects who pay for AMA services alone do a one hit wonder which is BAD for any project wishing to stay long term within a community.
So based on this we decided to create a long term partnership with them. The partnership are divided into

  1. Community based event/activities so this part the project can continuously be providing resources the community and use and etc
  2. Event partnership as we plan to create a monthly NEAR NIGERIA OUTREACH EACH MONTH in various Nigeria states and this projects can help us in achieving this
  3. Third set are for various marketing purposes.

Currently for the next 2 to 3 months we plan offering our services free for startups and recent partners and try out some new marketing tools especially Digital marketing tools apart from the ones we currently use.

We currently have a payment plan which we plan to give to projects when need and will be in full implementation after this Q3

Pending when we NEAR NIGERIA becomes a Regional Hub from just a Regional Guild we plan on using our social goods to create a self sustainable entity which we can use to onboard if not possible the whole NEAR ECOSYSTEM projects into Nigeria and Africa.

On Actualization of the Regional Hub we can continue with our paid marketing services if grant provided by NF doesn’t cover that aspect.

Well-put. I agree. Given the large jump in costs. Reviewing after the report surfaces from the outcome of a previous investment is required before I feel comfortable approving.

Thanks, with @satojandro request and observations i have narrowed it down to july marketing activities. Like i said june approved proposal and the funds allocated was due to a request to slash down the activities NEAR NIGERIA was involved in. During the period of june we meetup with new projects to make themselves known in Nigeria but due to cut in pay i had to decline some request at the detriment of the community. After much discussion with the core guild leaders we decided to

  1. Accept all request within this Q3 and seek funds from the marketing dao to help marketing this project
  2. improve on the guild marketing strategies in Nigeria and Africa
  3. create a payment system which will be effective in Q4
  4. push up for a Regional hub in Nigeria and west Africa.

That was why the current proposal was increased from 3,000 to 5,000. So no matter the projects we are marketing this Q3 we wont collect anything.

We have been in Existence as Near Nigeria for almost 2 yrs and have achieved a lot of success in Making NEAR an Household name as we never disappoint
