Hi friends of NEAR Hispano!
I´m writing this post because I would really love to be part of the council of NEAR Hispano Guild.
I have been a member of the Guild for several months now, and I have witnessed very closely the great work you are doing, specially with the Bootcamps you are organizing every month, in order to certify devs as NEAR Certified Developers. I think that is a very important and impactful work you are doing for the benefit of both NEAR and the community in Latin America.
Having said that, last August 28 I hosted Bogotá Hack Node as part of the kick off events for METABUIDL Hackathon. Bogotá Hack Node was a successful event with 24 people attending and most importantly one of the attendees won second place in the Play Hacks Category, making the event even a bigger success. After the event, several attendees showed interest to keep learning about NEAR and its ecosystem. Because of this, I think there’s a great opportunity to start building and growing a community around NEAR ecosystem here in Colombia. That´s why I would like to be part of the council and contribute to the guild by looking at the possibility of implementing the Bootcamp for developers in Bogotá, and also contemplating the possibility to reach agreements with different universities that become partners for this bootcamp, and thus expanding the reach of this important work the NEAR Hispano guild is doing.
As a member of the council I will focus on strengthening the NEAR community in Colombia and on growing the number of NEAR Certified Developers here, so that they can start building dapps on NEAR and contribute in this way to NEAR´s goal of onboarding the next billion users to web 3.
