Please review the NEAR China community’s September proposal below.

About NEAR China Community

NEAR China Community is the second-largest regional community, boasting a robust community of over 13,000 members across Telegram and WeChat groups. As pioneers of the NEAR regional community, we have achieved remarkable growth over the course of three years.

Our Mission

Our core mission revolves around positioning NEAR as the leading Layer1 blockchain platform in the Chinese market. To achieve this goal, we have consistently taken substantial steps to drive user growth, nurture and onboard Chinese developers, and promote NEAR ecosystem projects. Additionally, we have been actively promoting the narrative that NEAR is the Blockchain Operating System (BOS) to the NEAR Chinese community.

Our Goals and Focus for September

  1. User onboarding and education through BOS

  • Educate users about the potential of BOS as a Web3 platform for communication, information sharing, and community growth in a user-friendly manner. This also includes content localization, tutorials etc.

  • Onboard new users through BOS and flagship dApps on NEAR .

  1. Marketing Campaigns to boost NEAR Awareness:
  • Create engaging marketing campaigns and online events that incentivize community members to learn about BOS, such as Twitter Space, Telegram live AMA, Quizes and Challenges.
  1. Community Management and Growth :
  • Retain and engage with our existing 13K+ members in the Chinese Community. Expand our reach and attract new members and partners to grow our community and spread the influence to other local communities including students and builders.

Our Past Achievements

  • China Offline Events: join and organize at least 3 offline events in China every year, including prestigious gatherings the 2023 Hong Kong Web3 festival, Rust CC Developer Conference, Wanxiang Blockchain Week, etc.
  • China Community Operations and Engagement: host at least one community campaign per week, engaging our members with quizzes, giveaways, and community games.
  • Support and Promote NEAR projects: To boost NEAR projects, we regularly host AMA every two weeks, featuring esteemed projects and organizations like LiNEAR, MetaPool, Pembrock, Spin, Sender Wallet, Here Wallet, and others.

Social Media Growth

  • Twitter: at least 15k impressions with a total of 14,000 followers
  • Telegram: Reach 12,000 members in NEAR China telegram groups

Community Operation

  • Community activities: at least 2 campaigns or AMA for September

Content translation and localization

  • Translate NEAR blogs (3 to 5 blogs per week) and post on all our social media

Funding scheme

As one of the largest regional communities, our original budget request amounts are listed below:

Since the NEAR NDC RC DAO funding request process is in transition, we request a budget of 3,000 USD for August based on the Marketing DAO funding limitation.

Hi Bakaka, our august proposal didn’t get a reply in August. So we propose the September proposal here.

The September proposal fully follows the September guidelines. Why will it be closed?

Hi @3UN1C3 – thanks for the proposal. Noting that we closed out the earlier proposal from August in order to focus on this one. Thank you for responding to feedback on the original post and connecting with MDAO via telegram to further discuss the objectives, KPIs and funding amount requested.

You have received majority council support for this proposal. Moving to approved.

Next steps:

Your application was approved by Marketing (Ecosystem) DAO at NDC. The approved proposal will be included in the next MDAO budget request to NDC trust. The trust needs to authorize it first and then transfer funds to Marketing DAO treasury: the expected payment date is the last week of September.

So, during this time, please do the following:

  1. Fill out the form to pass KYC

  2. Wait for future instruction from Marketing (Ecosystem) DAO and an invitation to create a transfer on Astro DAO.

  3. Please join NDC Marketing HUB to discuss this and future projects.

  4. Refer to the Marketing DAO Funding Guide as needed.
