  • Overview of the project:

The dawn of Web 3.0 marks a transformative era in the digital landscape, characterized by decentralized applications, data ownership, and enhanced user control. This paradigm shift from the centralized nature of Web 2.0 promises to revolutionize the way we interact with the internet, creating a more equitable and secure online ecosystem.

North Africa, with its untapped talent and growing interest in cutting-edge technologies, presents a fertile ground for nurturing the development of Web 3.0. Tunisia, in particular, is emerging as a regional leader in fostering innovation and embracing the latest technological advancements through its evolving entrepreneurial ecosystem and the updated regulations toward innovation. Recognizing the region’s vast potential to contribute to the global landscape and benefit from the economic and social opportunities Web 3.0 offers, the need for structuring the existing community in North Africa arises.

The Web 3.0 North African Community, hosted on the Near Network, is a decentralized and collaborative network of professionals, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts based in or originary from North Africa. Driven by a vision to establish a dynamic and diverse group of Web 3.0 professionals, the community focuses on nurturing local talent and supporting their growth. By developing a collaborative environment, members can work together on projects, share knowledge and resources, and establish meaningful partnerships that drive innovation.

The mission of the North African Community is to create a fully decentralized entity as an extension of Dar Blockchain, a Blockchain Hub in Tunisia, enabling Web 3.0 specialists and enthusiasts to work collectively on attracting contracts, developing startups, and investing in innovative decentralized projects. This fosters a sustainable and thriving community grounded in shared values, knowledge, and opportunities.

To achieve its objectives, the Web 3.0 North African Community organizes regular events, meetups, and hackathons to engage various enthusiasts and encourage their participation. Additionally, the community establishes a Web 3.0 Decentralized Academy, providing access to valuable learning materials, mentorship programs, and hands-on experience. Furthermore, the community introduces incubation and acceleration programs, offering support and resources to promising projects and startups in the Web 3.0 domain. These initiatives empower community members to enhance their skills and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.

Developer core team:

Business core team:

As a collective of passionate professionals, enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs, we have formed the Web 3.0 North African Alliance with a shared vision and commitment to advancing the Web 3.0 movement in the region. Our reasons for uniting are:

  • Accelerating Web 3.0 Adoption:

We believe in the transformative potential of Web 3.0 and recognize the importance of educating and promoting its objectives to a wider audience. By leveraging the growing interest in blockchain technology, we will make Web 3.0 technologies more accessible and appealing to a broader audience in the North African region, ultimately leading to increased support and faster adoption.

  • Building bridges between North Africa and blockchain networks and leaders:

We understand the value of collaboration and the power of a strong network, which is why we are committed to connect local Web 3.0 communities within the North African region and establish strong ties with leading blockchain networks worldwide. By fostering a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge exchange, we will enable communities within each country of the region to benefit from shared experiences and resources, promoting collective growth and innovation. This approach is based on our strong understanding of the startup development journey, as well as our positioning within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

  • Establishing a Regional Startup Hub:

We believe in supporting the creation, development, and growth of startups in the Web 3.0 domain. By providing resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities, we are willing to transform the North African region into a major hub for innovation in Web 3.0 technologies. This will certainly contribute to the economic and social development of the region through the creation of job opportunities, income generation, and the promotion of cutting-edge technologies.Additionally, we will leverage our relationships with SSOs, investors, business angels, and stakeholders in both the web 2.0 and web 3.0 environments to facilitate our efforts.

  • Provides strategies that will be used by the team to achieve the Team goals

To achieve our goals, we have devised an execution plan based on three core pillars:

  • Community Activation:

We are going to organize regular events, meetups, and hackathons to engage various types of enthusiasts and encourage their participation in the community. These activities will not only raise awareness about the North African Web 3.0 community but also foster strong relationships among its members.

Also, we are also focusing on expanding our network of university clubs. Currently, we have three clubs (one in a business school and two others in engineering schools), and we plan to expand this network further to include more cities in Tunisia and other countries in the North African region. By establishing these clubs, we aim to engage with more students to help them become active members of the Web 3.0 community.

  • Education and Skills Development:

A vital aspect of our community’s strategy is the establishment of the Web 3.0 Decentralized Academy, which serves as a premier educational resource for members. The academy grants access to valuable learning materials, mentorship programs, and hands-on experience in the Web 3.0 domain. This will empower community members to enhance their skills and stay informed about the latest advancements in the field.

  • Decentralized Web 3.0 Startup Studio:

We are aiming to develop startup projects internally and work on dedicated web 3.0 assistance programs based on our previous experiences participating in local and international events. Our community members have also gained valuable insights from developing assistance programs in the past. Optimally, we collaborate with potential partners that we are currently in discussions with to offer the following added values:

  • Mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals

  • Networking opportunities with other project owners, industry leaders, and potential partners

  • Exposure to new markets and opportunities for growth and expansion

  • Access to funding and investment opportunities

Awesome, The the most important KPI of Regional community Dao/WG now is to onboard people to Near social and I-am-human, thus updating some of your activities during the events and sessions an emphasis on the IAH and why it is important to your audience would go a long way.

Looking forward to see the growth of Near community in North Africa.
