Please find attached GWGs funding request for the month of August 2023 to cover costs related to stewarding the delivery of NDC V1 Gov led by the NEAR Community. The GWG’s mandate is to steward and facilitate Gigs, RFPs, and Roles to BuiDL and deliver NDC V1 Gov by late Summer '23. We recently closed the nomination period, and are now in the early days of the Elections.
This is our fifth time requesting funding from the Community Treasury. July’s bounties are paid out in full.
We will be returning $10,000 of unused funds from the July round.
Summary of Updates and Changes vs the Q3 Budget
The Q3 budget can be found here .
- Two line items that had been initially removed from the Q3 budget are now being reintroduced
- NDC / GWG representation at Near APAC: Four participants, booth & events
- AI Tooling developed by NearHub and the AI WG, incl chat bot, doc summarizer and telegram summarizer. $8k
- Graphics design ended up being much more intense during the election than had been anticipated, up $4k
- We negotiated an extended free period with Fractal for the Face Verification feature, removing $2k from budget
- Hired one more dev to the Tech WG team
- Extended the services from PikesPeak to also include election monitoring, adding $2k to the budget
In Summary, we are requesting $192,000 to cover the Retroactive Bounties for Aug, which is an increase of $25,300 from the original $166,700 which was budgeted for August in the Q3 Budget.
