Would love to see Soos and Billy backed by the Gaming DAO. They have both demonstrated that they are settlers of the ecosystem. Excited to see who they can onboard via GameFi!

I like that you are moving away from twitter spaces and moving towards video/podcasts.
The ability to create multiple pieces of content is a huge benefit and perform way better.
Also, the bounties are interesting… how are you going to do those? Just discord? There’s the Hereos app in NEAR. I think using something more web3 would be good and you have options.

Ya I felt a podcast would do better especially with gaming as they’re a visual product. The recent test pod proved this with a good amount of views with no announcements.
I’ve seen Hero’s app and wasn’t sure if it was ready to go. That would be a great idea and definitely have to revisit his site so I can utilize it for bounties.
My initial thoughts were to do the same as the NEKO and Jump DeFi ambassador program where I’m the ambassador manager. There’s an application form, a submission form, and lastly a form to track ambassadors and their submissions. Hero’s bounty site would significantly simplify this process. I’ll do some research and fire up a test bounty if its ready ASAP.

What’s your plan for growing audience? Along with publishing content and switching up the format to experiment with one you think will be more impactful, how is the team thinking about proactively reaching more people? Would be great to hear more about your strategy there.

Yes the community support is the best part of doing this and the reason why I continue.
As for your question, I’m glad you asked. As I’ve proposed for an additional budget of 400USD and what Jared and I just mentioned in the previous comments, I wish to get whomever is willing to make content about Near, NDC, and of course, gaming. I was also thinking to lower the game night budget significantly to support this new initiative as the MDAO has a budget to withhold and want to be fair as possible. Let me know your thoughts please.
I also think that if we can get playable games with devs and audience members live would be fire. The people who watch our TikTok & YT channels probably don’t know that we hold Twitter spaces. I will highlight them in hopes they become curious enough to watch a live.

Hi @billybones1 – Thanks for answering my questions and those of others commenting on the forum. I want to note that you have been very open to feedback.
I’ll say something here similar to my reply to Trove Labs/Near at Night and Nearity. For August, MDAO must allocate funding with a focus NDC election and BOS.
Additionally, here’s the reality as I see it:
- We have $203K+ in funding requests coming from the community for August
- We have ~$46K to deploy
- We cannot fund everyone
- The funding we can allocate is limited and needs to go to the ecosystem KPIs – which are NDC election and BOS content
I think we may need to reduce funding to a flat rate for this month (I’m thinking $2-2.5K based on the proposals we are reviewing for August) across a number of projects in order to get funding to multiple projects and work together to amplify the ecosystem.
Given the current situation, I think it is likely MDAO will have to limit funding to a grant in a specified amount for the purpose of producing content supporting NDC election and BOS. And then we can reevaluate in the future after the election.
Are you open to that revision?

I will accept removing game night funding for a reduced amount of 400USD and the bounties for another 400USD bringing this proposal to 2150USD.
If it gives someone else a chance at a grant, I’m all for it. I’m also open to doing interviews with NDC as well. I was thinking of doing a content creator program with the Heroes platform. If we want to push the elections with a reduced cost, I’d be happy to help in this way.
Let me know what you think about these lowered numbers and initiative to push the elections.
