Thank you all for your participation in Stake Wars III!
Launched by the NEAR Foundation in 2022, Stake Wars III aimed to advance the decentralization and resilience of the NEAR Protocol by onboarding new validators. Delegations were managed and distributed by Meta Pool and Linear.
Over the past three years, many participants have matured as validators, improved operations, and moved toward sustainability. We are very proud of the progress and dedication demonstrated throughout the program. Now that the program has officially concluded and to smoothen transition, we will offer a six-month grace period after which delegations will be withdrawn from validators who no longer meet established performance or engagement thresholds.
Validators have time until December 1, 2025 to independently meet the seat price by securing stake from the community or personal sources. Those who successfully transition will be considered for upcoming attractive validator incentive programs launching soon (details to follow shortly).
