This is the report to this Proposal:
Greetings Community and Creatives at large.
It was a great experience hosting this Maiden Dance Drama for Thespians DAO. Unfortunately, we started rehearsals late because we had to wait for all the procedures that comes with the monthly funding. But the good news is that we made it and it was a very beautiful experience.
We started rehearsals on 5th September and concluded our rehearsals on 9th September (which was a technical night rehearsals); then we went on Stage on 10th September.
PRE-PRODUCTION ACTIVITIES:
We had to wait for funding, which came in on 29th August,2022. It took us 6 days to start broadcasting for auditions and reaching out to Formular Dance Academy (which we also used some their dancers for the Dance Drama).
We started reaching out to crew members too, some of which we paid in Fiat and others who are on the Ecosystem had to request their payment from Thespians DAO Astro.
Our Director, OYINDAMOLA ADESUNLOYE, is a lecturer in University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He majors in Choreographing Dance Dramas in Theatre and Film Studies Department. He arrived two days before the rehearsal date, so we can plan together.
Then we started the Rehearsals for the Dance Drama
We had to design and print out the Dance Drama artwork;
which we hung in strategic areas in the Neighborhood…
PRODUCTION ACTIVITIES:
Before 10th September, we were already done with lighting up and setting up the stage:
On the D day, we started with some lectures on Web3 Ecosystem, NFT, and NEAR Protocol. We had some interactive sessions with the Audience and the members of the Thespians DAO present. Questions popped out and I was able to answer them and enlighten the audience more, as well…
We also had to onboard and open wallets for 20 New NEARians during the project:
After the lectures and onboarding of New NEARians, we started with the Dance Drama, which featured more than 20 Dance actors and actresses, and a Narrator.
The Dance Drama is titled “A Land of Many Colours”. The story centers on the different cultural backgrounds in Nigeria, and how beautiful it is to behold their tradition and their dance. It was a beautiful thing to witness on stage…
POST PRODUCTION ACTIVITIES:
The Dance Drama was a success, and everything went according to plan. We have a highlight of the Dance Drama on YouTube:
The full Dance Drama Video is half an hour, and we minted it as an Unlockable to our “20” NFTs that are now on Mintbase, at Thespians DAO store:
We are happy we could pull this through. Thanks to the Actors and Actresses, and the Crew Members too.
