Workshop of Audio Recording for NFT - fra-DAO - APRIL - 2022
In a Branding Core meeting with the fraDAO team, we started to design our May Sound proposal. Our member @lagolagoa, from the Marketing/Branding team, with a lot of intelligence brought the concept of Kuan Yin that means “Observe the Sounds (or Shouts) of the World”.

The May workshop is a dedicated edition for Recording Áudio for NFT with Art personal Assistants.

After onboarding, The second step of the workshop is the personal assistance choosing the best way and spot for Recording showing the free apps for Recording in Cell phone, computer, portable Recording or tablets.

Project/timeline:
Week 01:
During one week, at DISCORD group, we will analyze and give you all the possible tips to start your sound recording project.
First week Workshop, the artists will learn guerrilla audio recording techniques, home made solutions to record without acoustic problems, homemade pop-filter techniques for cell phone recording, voice over techniques for podcast enthusiasts and we will do technical and artistic analysis of a Sound art Called “Da lapa ao J.B” which includes 8D sound (360); soundscape, electroacoustic and concrete music.
The sound art was recorded in mid of 2020 during a bicycle route between two distant neighborhoods, recorded in binaural and finalized in 8D audio or 360 sound. This artwork will serve as a basis for explanations of current concepts of art and audio techniques.

Week 02:
It will be the creative week where fraDAO will assist in creative projects with the support of helping in concepts and sound viability. We will also start to give a basic editing workshop on Audacity software for the artists to be able to edit by themselves after the assistances that will happen inside DISCORD through PDF documentation made by Raissa, synchronous meetings through private and collective calls.
The support will provide assistance in:
1 - how to create a simple podcast and empower your voice to the world
2- Sound Art
3- Snonorize graphic art, explaining sound designer techniques
4- How to mint your sound in the “Techne” gallery (Mintbase).
that week 02 the artists will record their sound creations, with an initial technical support

Week 03:
Assistance in audio editing, we will meet via call sharing the computer screen and links to explanatory videos on how to edit sounds and provide the necessary support for the artist’s creative moment in her project in a mentoring format.

Week 04:
Moment of presentation of the audio works for mentoring and continuity in editing support, to prepare the audio for the last stage of finalization of audio “Mastering”
The artists who complete their work before starting the mint process, through our PDFs already created by @raissa, the project will the last sound process, the mastering of their work by @frado before the mint process, by the artists integrants, making the work with professional quality and higher market value in NEAR’s Marketplace.
Mastering is a very complex process to explain in a few weeks, it takes years of dedication to become an audio finisher and this Mastering process we will give this support free of charge, remembering that no artist pays to do the workshops.

Conclusion:
Due to a voting system we have seen that artists want to empower themselves with sound concepts and tools in their NFT creations within the NEAR blockchain. In consultation with all the artists who already want to do the workshop, they all asked if the sound arts developed could be within the nearhubs in established galleries, this action will happen in parallel to the development weeks of the Audio Workshop.
Next Steps after workshop:
We will be developing this workshop and assistance with emphasis on Sound.
After completing the 4 weeks we can use it to extend the marketing dissemination of the artists of our ecosystem. After the workshop is concluded, it will be feasible to ask the artists to record voice overs with good sound quality, in an interview or podcast format for FraDAO to use as a marketing tool to promote the artists of the NEAR protocol on instagram and facebook.
How?
Answering questions about the facilities and positive points of view in the process of minting NFTs using the NEAR blockchain.
The strategy that would be to ask them to record a voice over about their own release and about the artistic and technical concepts about NFTs mint, will enrich the marketing tools that will always carry the NEAR protocol logo, in a win-win-win format, where the artists win, NEAR wins and fraDAO wins.
Our concept is always to “reimagine your world” respecting NEAR’s branding in conjunction with our values and fraDAO’s mission, respecting and never charging any kind of financial value to the artists involved.
