Mission

1. Call to web2 developers : Provide a plan for developers to transition into the web3 space and NEAR ecosystem
2. Education : Training web2 developers to build on top of the NEAR Protocol with NEAR Certified Developers courses.
3. Call to web3 startups : Provide a platform (1) to allow NEAR web3 startups to create bounties for open issues or new features for their projects, or even to create a POC.
4. Builder <-> Startup work matching : The startup bounties would only be available to be addressed for certified NCD developers.

Benefits of the Build Guild program

1. For developers: To be an incentive for mid to high experienced developers to build on awesome NEAR projects.
2. For NEAR Education: collaborate with NEAR Education goals to have more developers certified.
3. For web3 startups: to leverage the NEAR Education community for access to certified developers, that would allow to eliminate the developer onboarding process to NEAR protocol without any ado.

In the early stages of the project, the bootcamps would focus on the Argentina region.

Startups bounties could apply for the whole NEAR community.

1. Create a new platform or extend an existing one to allow bounties creation, eg https://jobs.near.university/
   It would require a mechanism to verify that developers already completed the NCD certificates successfully before claiming an open bounty.

OKR’s for 2022

• Increasing NEAR Build Guild Telegram users/developers (currently 15 users)
• 100+ web2 developers transitioned to NEAR Certified developers.
• Platform implementation for post and claim bounties opportunities
• Monthly marketing campaigns focused on the Argentina region for web2 developers as an invitation to the Build Guild program.
• Monthly marketing campaigns focused on Startup onboarding
• Daily tracking session with fellowship students
• Coordinate office hours with core NEAR devs, to help teams and projects
• Weekly tracking session with startups
• Monthly meetup

Hey, @leamanza excellent proposal to kickstart the creation of the Build guild. Considering the NEAR ecosystem is growing thanks to hackathon + boot camps, it would be incredible to get more devs onboarded and more web3 projects in the space.

Just a few reminders:

• Please complete the guild registration at: Start a Guild on NEAR (If you haven’t already)
• Then schedule a call with @Jessica here: Calendly - Jessica Lloyd for proper guild onboarding.
• Please add details about the Build guild application process for new members that wants to join the guild - Discord server, Telegram group or whichever channel fits the purpose and update it in the OP of this post .
