[CLOSED] Near Hausa September Proposal

Near Hausa is become one of the successful language based community since inception, our community has grown successfully and organically despite the hurdles in overcoming the language barriers. We have grown over the last 3 months and the ecosystem has noticed this.

Proposal:
In the month of September, we are going to focus in on-chain engagements and activities and creating educational tutorial focused on bOS for our new onboarded builders and community.

Our goal is also to increase the number of on-chain activities in our Near Social, at least build 1-2 components and widgets, and collaborate with Build-Dao to build some components that help our community members participate and engage in our current bOS community page. Further utilize the use of products like Keypom , ShardDog. and upcoming Mental-Maze testnet

Our target Audience:
Web2 developers, both experienced and those who are just starting to learn the bOS from scratch,
Creators who want to explore more about the bOS and it benefits in their journey into web3.
Other ecosystem devs
Computer science and engineering students, invite them to our widgets builds and community page build contest.

Building on BOS

BOS Tutorial and onboarding;

This section consists of creating educational step by step guide to get started on BOS weekly with James we already spoke and later translate to our native language for our community members in the same day.

Assist our community members 7 days a week/Provide a summary of the latest news and partnerships/Encourage people through fun and educational activities that include quizzes, AMAs, and BOS build challenges.

We are expecting to reach 100 Near social followers and the same thing for our social accounts.
our activities are going to focus on widget build contests, giveaways for solving some components code challenges. Our community is going to focus more on bOS builders.

Cost- 1500$

Contents Writing/Translation
Translating and providing some technical contents on bOS to Hausa to help the community understand how to use various products built on Near, such as Near BOS, keypom, near.social, and NEARDROP this is also going to be part of our education and onboarding program.

We are expected to write at least 3-5 both technical and none technical contents in Hausa to our devs and non devs to further simplify the information and how to engage with.

Building:
This section consists of bOS workshops and weekly sessions:

We are going to have weekly sessions virtually and in-person in our free provided hub with dev to build together with community and at the end of the 4 sessions, we are also going to have some challenges and contest for best NH community page builder on BOS.

Hi @msageer thanks for the proposal ā€“ I think what you are aiming to do with NEAR Hausa has merit, and Iā€™d like to figure out a way forward, but I think we need to work on revising this proposal so that it is focused on less to start and more specific about the projects/work done and intended outcomes before funding a full program. I recommend working with MDAO to revise and resubmit for Q4.

As of the close of the MDAO review period, this proposal has not received majority support from the MDAO council. This can be due to a number of factors (outstanding questions, need to better define strategy towards KPIs, etc.), and we encourage you to reach out via Telegram with questions and consider resubmitting in the future.
