NEAR BRAZIL: OUR VISION

Since we started our community in the beginning of 2022 we have reached many accounts, partnerships, artists and people who work with Near in Brazil, engaging and bringing more people to know about the protocol.

We want to help Near reach the 2023 goal of 10 million active accounts monthly. We want to be Near’s main channel and Hub in Brazil so that anyone can start in Near, develop in Near, buy, sell and create NFTs. We will also be able to help people look for grants and partners in Brazil and Latin America to start their projects.

In short, we want to continue learning about Near, teaching it and try to reach as many as possible of the 200 million Brazilians.

The purpose of this proposal is to continue the growth of the Near Protocol in Brazil, implementing and disseminating this innovative technology to educational entities in the country, bringing cutting-edge knowledge to people who already have knowledge of the crypto universe andalso new users.

Our job is to provide information to the Brazilian public and create partnerships to engage the community. This is an educational and informative project, so everything others are doing inspires us to create more and bring more information to our community.

Our differential is knowing Near for more than 1 year, working with Near since February of 2022 and meeting many people who work with it in Brazil.

Our country is immense and I believe that the work I have been doing will help many people to know more about the project and be constantly updated about it.

The project aims to continue what I was already doing and also add more partnerships, Twitter spaces and bring guests to talk about their projects.

Our Goals and Focus for October

Accounts Retention

After 1/2/4/8 weeks, aim to retain at least 20% on-boarded accounts.

Account Acquisition

Cost — target to control acquisition cost 5 USDC per account

dApps Engagement

Ensure that at least 20% of accounts retained can interact with more than one dApp in the NEAR ecosystem

Social Engagement Score

Increase 10% of the number of posts, likes, and followers/views in our social media channels, like Twitter, Telegram and Near Social

Strategy and Funding Distribution

Accounts onboarding and Retention - On-chain engagement - dApps Engagement

NFT Contest: Launch 1 contest for users and artists to mint their NFTs/Collections on Near Dapps. Every contest has a different theme.

Zealey: Let’s create a campaign on Zealy for users to use some of the system’s dapps with rewards. Dapps to be defined, at least 3 dapps.

Weekly Leaderboard: The result is a daily increase in transactions for using/interacting with Near.Social and other dapps, mints of NFTs, etc.(Telegram: Contact @nearbrasil)

Weekly prizes and tips, management and engagement of users through Telegram, Near Social. We will create mini contests to have people interacting more with Near Social reflecting on Everyday transactions and interactions with Near Social, rewards distributed through Keypom and tipbot.

Create engaging marketing campaigns and online events (like quizzes and challenges on NEAR Social) that incentivize new accounts and community members to stay active. Will also use Keypom and other tools to onboard new accounts.

Onboarding Campaigns: Partnership with two Entities for User Onboarding.

With the first partner, Near Brasil will have a space to explain the project and also an explanatory space for people to learn about Near and scan a QR code to create the wallet.

With the second partner, we’ll have onboarding of junior Devs. There will also be onboarding of users to create commemorative NFTs.

Promote NEAR dapps via campaigns: Introduce dapps through website / Twitter and Near Social

Community Social management and support:

Engage with our existing members and help with doubts.

Translate/write articles of NEAR and projects of the ecosystem in Portuguese and present these articles to our community through our website and Near.Social and weekly Quiz about Weekly updates on Near

Social media: Daily posts, interaction with community members, and other ecosystem accounts.

Quick question;

-5$ cost for account retention is bit high and does not correspond to your 20%, am not sure how you can do this if you multiply by your budget.

  • How you will track and share the results with MDAO so we can have visibility into the results?
    -What is the most important aspect of this proposal, the most crucial to fund – what will have the most impact for the community?

The reality is that MDAO has 35 pending proposals for limited funds, so it is likely we will be asking for revisions and some reductions in scope in order to fund the highest impact activities and projects as we move into mid-Q4.

Thank you for your contribution to the proposal. I understand your concern about the cost of account retention.

As for the budget, the cost of account retention is just one part of the total budget. The budget also includes costs for marketing, events, and other activities.

This cost is estimated based on data from other blockchain communities. However, it is important to note that this is only an estimate, and the actual cost may vary.

Therefore, we consider that in addition to other labor costs, we will also have an acquisition and retention cost.

Ideally, we would have a low value, however, given the history of the last few months, without a budget and the greater focus on elections, in addition to the bear market, it would be easy for me to say that we will have 100 active users at the end of the period, but it will be difficult to achieve this.

I understand that you want a number and I am not able to give it.

What we have done and will do is continue the work. However, with so many changes and little support, I see that other communities would rather give up than continue. We’re still here!

If you have any data or evidence that suggests the actual cost of account retention will be different, please share it with us. We are always open to feedback and are willing to adjust the proposal according to the needs of the community.

We are confident that we can meet our account retention goal with the proposed budget. However, we are always monitoring the situation and are prepared to adjust the budget if necessary.

In response to your other questions:

How will you track and share the results with the MDAO so that we can have visibility of the results?

We will track the results of the proposal through a series of metrics, including:

Number of new users registered using our shard dog link
Number of active users (it can be found using near explorer)
Number of retained accounts
Level of community engagement

What is the most important aspect of this proposal, the most crucial to fund – what will have the biggest impact on the community?

The most important aspect of this proposal is account retention. If we can retain the users we register, they will become more active and contribute more to the community.

We believe that account retention is crucial to the success of Near in Brazil. If we cannot retain users, it will be difficult to build a strong and vibrant community.

Here are some specific benefits of account retention:

More active users will contribute to the Near ecosystem
More active users mean more adoption
More adoption means more value for the community
We are confident that account retention is the most important investment we can make for the future of Near in Brazil.
