Hi guys, in this topic I am going to show you about what we did in January for Near Protocol Turkey and shortly sum up our future plans.
Near Turkey Telegram Group Statistics
Total members: 6800+
New joined members in January: 1500+
The new Year started with a new record! Between 10-20 January we had about +2000 daily messages in our Telegram group! Thats really something to celebrate for us, but also to think about recruiting new moderators as it was really hard to answer each questions from our community, for that we have three more moderators now:
New Telegram admins:
- Remzi Emre Kahveci (Developer, Near Turkey Education Team and moderator)
- Firat (will create Near related YT videos and moderate)
- Ciko Dayi (he knows nearly all turkish influencers and will invite more investors to the turkish group)
Telegram group most active user contest:
We did a giveaway 5x5 (25 NEAR) to the most active 5 users on Telegram. It was a really great idea, this way we could get some new moderators who are interested to be a part of our community voluntarily and join the NEAR ecosystem.

Off-Topic - Education and Development
As stated in my last reports we are also focused on education and development.
NearZombies Grant approval
We are happy to announce that we got a grant from Near Foundation. NearZombies will be a platform where users will learn about Near in a funny way! As soon as our devs have some updates I will share it with you here. Our first target is to have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
Education Team
In January we focused also on building our Education Team. For that we are in contact with some teachers and students. We are redirecting users to Near University, some of them are interested to participate in the fellowship program. We are in contact with Near Education to prepare more academies with students and let more devs join the Near Ecosystem.
