Projects/Highlights

We ran 4 AMA Sessions on our YouTube channel. The guests were @johanga, @Kambodja, @krizzy and @cedrick.near.

We received 9 submissions for the Art Project “Conditions of a Woman’s Body”. After community voting, 3 were chosen. All of the creations can be found at our Mintbase store.

The opening for this show has been moved to July 4th at 18:00 UTC at our Voxels gallery, as well as our NearHub gallery. And @masiaone will be DJ’ing the event.

We have also started a new series called “Art History; the Female Perspective”, which is going really well. In June we did 2 live videos, that are now on our YouTube channel. One was about Hilma af Klimt and the other was about Leonora Carrington. We are hoping to do more of these next month.

3 artists/projects that were selected for the residence INA Supports your Superpower will be featured in our next gallery show on July 30th.

The website has been started and will be completed in the next couple of weeks - inadao.org

We also dedicated more efforts and resources to our social media. Our Instagram account already has 311 followers, and our Twitter account has 199.
Learnings

We have moved our interviews to our YouTube Channel and are having better results.

We started encouraging our members to join Astro DAO in order to vote during our competitions. Unfortunately we are going to have to try to iron out the problems of gaming the system, as it seems members are joining just to vote for their friends, which we think is unfair. Next month we are going to implement stricter rules to be able to vote, such as being active in the community for a certain amount of time before you will be eligible to vote. We are still thinking of other ways to make it a fair competition.
Next steps

Continue with the AMA Sessions , which have been a useful way to get the community involved, and raise visibility of female artists in the ecosystem.

Create more projects that encourage artists participation, such as INA supports your Super Powers

We are also going to continue our series called “Art History; the Female Perspective” featuring a discussion about 3 more female artists. Those female artists will be Louis Bourgeois, Georgia O’Keeffe and Tarsila do Amaral.

Streamline our contest and rules for participation and voting.
