Hello, @williamx
I have a few concerns. But I choose to ask instead that you please clarify what you meant here:
Hey, @AugustKinge! I am not William, but I hope I can shed some light. It means Senior Moderator, and we’ve been to a meeting to meet the new person assigned to this role.
Thanks for your response, @kc_sollano.
I didn’t know there was such a role.
For better clarification, could you tell me if it the role is for Creatives DAO particularly or for the Forum (i.e. the entire Near Community)?
Cheers.
Thanks K & @AugustKinge for the follow up. He’ll be in charge of the community in general. FYI: DamnThatsCrazy New Sr Community Mod Intro Post

October brought about a series of events and challenges. Despite the recent two months proving to be challenging for CDAO, marked by changes and restructuring, it is noteworthy to highlight some of the main events we have collectively achieved at Creatives DAO.
Oct-Nov contribution
October Community Proposal Review Report:
October NDC Funding Request:
Current HOM poll: Astra++ (under development) by astraplusplus.ndctools.near on BOS
Community call: Community calls were conducted on a needed-basis when there are important updates to be announced. We make sure CDAO community doesn’t miss out any important information.
NDC V1 proposal for grassroots funding: We managed to work on our funding proposal for the NDC V1, where we stated clearer our goal & vision for the Creatives DAO, as well as our updates in funding practice to make sure captital will be distributed effectively.
In addition to our designated tasks, we maintain an approachable stance for the community and devote our time to facilitate collective proposals. At NEARCON, Council members @Paul and @kc_sollano actively gathered valuable insights and feedback, laying the groundwork for the new chapter of Creatives DAO in NDC V1.
I invite the community to stand together in solidarity, and I extend my gratitude for your patience. While there are still numerous discussions ahead to ensure the development of high-quality proposals, I am confident that together we can overcome the difficulty that have persisted recently.
Thank you for reading!

December, the last month of the year, went though with many important updates regarding Creatives DAO’s next steps. I’m writing this report together with some reflection of our journey through 2023.
December contribution
Funding review: CDAO opened its funding found for December before the “interim period” of the NDC V1, the proposal is now sent to HOM for reviewing, consulted by NDC Trustees.
Charter revise: An updated version of Creatives DAO charter has been published with the request for NDV V1, some changes in a nutshell:
Creatives DAO Proposal for NDC V1: Sub Cat HOM-004P-1-1-1 Ecosystem
Welcome 2 new advisors: We’re thrilled to welcome 2 new advisors to Creatives DAO BOM: @vandal and @MALAMAYA. They play an important role in advising CDAO in strategic moves in V1, namely effective fund management, strategic partnership, posibilities in tech solutions for community governance and expanding advisory.
Open call: [Finished] CDAO Advisors
Keep udating on ETH Milan: [REPORT] ETH Milan <> CDAO
Produce Yearly Report: [Wrapped 2023] CreativesDAO Yearly Report
Personal Reflection: Top Notes on 2023 Journey
In short, some highlights of Creatives DAO key changes could be named as:
Key messages:
After more than two years of contributing to the NEAR ecosystem, I recognize that while we collaborate based on trust, a robust governance structure should be implemented to safeguard the treasury and uphold integrity. I’m happy to witness the introduction of the NDC trust and congresses, even many more need to be done to streamline (or at least standardise) the funding experience. Creatives DAO is not out of the concept, our funding practices have evolved continuously, evident from the improvements observed between 2022 and 2023.
The practice of forming ad hoc groups solely to seek funding should be discouraged. Community remains the cornerstone of our endeavors, but equal emphasis should be placed on onboarding established communities and supporting existing NEAR-based communities operated over the past two years (not all of them, the reports say it all).
It’s still early for a creative economy, but not too far off. The vision of mass crypto adoption, chain agnosticism, and the next bull run is a great opportunity for the creative community. NEAR Foundation has done a great job by securing top-notch partnerships that have led to a surge in DAU/MAU. They didn’t introduce NEAR by organizing workshops or showing the audience how to mint NFTs step by step. ‘Creative solutions’ rooted in the products themselves are key. Bringing one right solution with the right partner, without the need for “blockchain literacy”, could contribute significantly to the growth of the ecosystem. Can we do that in 2024?
Last but not least, It has been a year with downs and UPs (yes, it is). Personally, I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who was there with me, community members & leaders, other stakeholders of the ecosystem who worked with me on different projects and levels, who chatted with me, talked to me, met me. We created each other’s 2023 with full of experience, either good or not so good, I learned so much from you! Thank you!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Stay NEAR, Stay Creatives!
