Tuesday Open Mic on Tama Island -

Tamago’s weekly open mics on Tama Island are great avenues for building community & exposure around the music, sound, art, poetry, and diverse artistry of our ecosystem. Using these funds, we would like to send $NEAR rewards, NFT rewards, and eventually $TAMA when our token launches. We would use these funds to pay our host - 50 USD per session, 200 USD total per month as well as to pay the winner of the Open Mic 100 USD in NEAR and each participant 1 NEAR. This will encourage artists to sign up to perform consistently, make them feel valued for their time, and help them feel more invested in the platform as they build a profile and following through tamastream.io.

Friday Meetups on Tama Island -

Timeline - Ongoing/Every Month

These Friday meetups are a social event that takes place on Tama Island in the NEAR Hub metaverse. At these meetups, we host a DJ duo who call themselves U.N.I. and they play a 2 hour set and live stream into the Island. We would like to compensate U.N.I with 250 USD per performance, for 4 performances a month.

Anything else the Creatives DAO Council should know?

We have recently changed the format for the Tuesdays Open Mic. Tracks are now uploaded to Tamago and added to the playlist for the event. Then the tracks are voted on/liked by the community. Submission of Open Mic tracks begins Wednesday and closes at the end of day Friday. Voting begins after the tracks are uploaded and at the end of the Open Mic event a winner is announced and awarded 100 USD in NEAR, and each participant awarded (1) NEAR.

We have seen immense growth in the enthusiasm and support of Tamago as a platform but also as a means for artists to get involved in the Web3 space. Patrons from these events have become top of the charts artists on Tamago, as well as hosts for our other weekly events. The goal is always to empower creators and bring their creations to the forefront for music and art lovers to enjoy. We would greatly appreciate support from Creatives DAO in this endeavor. We’ve had massively positive community feedback.

Hey Tama Island team, thanks for the proposal and for checking in with previous feedback.
For the Friday meetups, I wonder would there be a better way to engage people and activate the community using the proposed funding by inviting various different DJs to perform or using some of the budget for NEAR drops / prizes?

Thank you for your quick reply and interest! In future Friday Meetups on Tama Island we would like to reform them to become a more community involved experience that creates opportunity for musicians in the NEAR system.

We are restructuring our residency with Torontos mainstays U.N.I. to be a resident once a month & to host in the background & chaperone other types of acts to showcase their art and content. This transition for the Tama Island Friday Meetups aims to build dynamic engagement for growth that stimulates creativity and activity within the NEAR ecosystem, while developing growth and activity for Tamago and metaverse type actions

Friday Tama Meetups are being transitioned into Friday Tama Island Events which showcase and highlight quality art and creativity music driven art from NFTs, Live Events, and Music Streaming drops on Tamago. Artists and Creators can submit their event and art showcase proposals which is spotlighted on Tama Island Metaverse, hosted and promoted via Tamago. Selected artists are rewarded 200 USD of NEAR to put together a live event or showcase such as an NFT or audio stream drop. Events are then evaluated by the community with voting and commenting which is further rewarded enabling a circle of growth.

The events will facilitate community development through the Tamago Platform by requiring attendants who wish to participate in rewards to connect their NEAR wallets or make them (which is now live on our platform) including uploading content onto Tamago’s platform and online social activity i.e. commenting, voting, tipping creatives and more.

Rewards to guests for engagement and promotional growth including attendance, NFTs and eventual ticketing structure would equal 100 USD of NEAR that breaks down dynamically. 40 USD of NEAR for activities like commenting and voting, 35 for promotional retweets on Twitter and 25 USD for attendance.
