Expansion is one thing that every DAO should focus on viz a viz marketing. Carrying out activities in the DAO is great but adding a website is a step further hence, our proposal to create a website for the DAO.

The website is mainly to market the ecosystem by extending the DAO’s activities onto the website, thereby creating awareness for Web3.

It will be of immense benefits to the ecosystem in the following ways

  1. There will be a section for Near Education, which will have contents about Near Protocol and a customer care service to answer questions about the ecosystem.
  2. There will be links to the near wallet site and basic wallet creation steps. New wallet creators can also come back to the site for the initial Near deposit into their wallets to make it customizable.
  3. Web3 artistes can also create accounts, have profiles on the website, and link their mintbase links to their profiles. The only music links that will be accepted on the site is Mintbase.
  4. Videos relating to the DAO, such as music videos, documentaries and educational contents will also be steamed from the sites.

NFTs adverts

Patois Integration which will will further spread Near Education deep into Jamaica and the Caribbean.

General Overlook and thoughts: this is meant to take a while to build because of the project level. It is not.just a website and because of the activities we will be carrying out on it, we will need to test and retest every link to make sure they work well

@Jahzonemusician can you give some more details about this, please? For example: a cost breakdown, who will build the website, a timeline for completion etc. Thank you

The total cost for building this is 500usd and it is expected to be complete by the end of July if started early.

The website will have the look of a conventional website but with specific details such as

  1. Near Wallet opening link integration
  2. Near Wallet 0.26 first funding for customization for the first 100 wallet creators
  3. Near Education segment where information about the Near ecosystem can be learnt
  4. This is a new one; Near in Patois. Patois is Jamaica’s reggae/ragga lingo and we are also determined to make it possible for all Patois speakers to read Near articles in their native Patois lingo. The site will be in English but an aspect will just be in Patois.

We are making use of @Ayomide , a graphic and web designer in the ecosystem.

Cost breakdown
Web design and graphics and hosting: 350usd
Near for the first 100 wallet creators: 100usd
Online/ live assitance for website users: 50usd

Total: 500usd

Is there any draft of the website available or a written plan?
Can you explain the 100 wallet creations? Have you considered using Neardrop or another onboarding tool like this?
From personal experience, Near integration on a website can be quite a big task, is this something @Ayomide will be doing?

To answer your questions,

About the 100 wallet creations, YES! We can and we will.

How?

There will be traffick on the website once people see the link for Near wallet creation, they will click on it and after registering or creating, in order to activate and customize/personalize the wallet, they need 0.26N and that is what we offer on the site.

Since there will be live assistance on the website, there will be an avenue whereby they can chat us through whatsapp or telegram and have their wallets activated and personalized.

  1. Can @Ayomide do it?
    Yes he can. All it entails is just copying the wallet.near.org link and integrating it into our website, once people click on the link, it takes them to wallet.near.org

  2. What about the draft of the website?
    Yes, i have a rough sketch that he can work with and most of the things are already discussed in the proposal but the full draft will be worked upon and sent here to the forum once it is approved

Where is the ReggaeDAO community currently interacting? Are there social media accounts? Or are you aiming to build from scratch starting with a web site? In general, in order to approve funding, I would need to see a demonstrated community presence from the proposer as part of the proposal. Thanks!

My question is, how NxM DAO helps musician?
And what are the pros for the musician being a part of the DAO, and what is the difference between web2 platforms like Apple Music and NxM tools? Thanks

Thank you Dacha for your response and questions, we do appreciate the attention.

These are the ways NxM helps musicians

  1. NxM helps musicians to connect with other musicians in the ecosystem
  2. It gives them the platform they need to excell in their musical careers
  3. It gives them grants to pursue creative endeavors which will boost their careers eventually
  4. It also allows for members to be admins and council members apart from the music they do which indirectly teaches them administrative skills
  5. Minting of music otherwise known as selling of music in web2 is easier with NxM.

The difference between web2 platforms and NxM tools is transparency. Web2 platforms eill stream your music and pay you or not. Even when they say they will pay you, you must have streams starting from 1000. If they sell for you, it starts from 1usd or so but NxM mints for like 2N or more which is so much better for the artiste than web2 platforms.
