What:
NxM Live intends to be a recurring event showcasing a variety of talent in the Near ecosystem.
There is a push for live, realtime performances where possible, to bring out the rawness, but the artist will have the option of delivering polished, pre-recorded content.
The event will be broadcast simultaneously across multiple platforms - Cryptovoxels, Twitch, YouTube, Mixcloud and Facebook - allowing wider audience reach and decentralised viewing.
When:
Based on current participation levels and human hours required to facilitate , the events will be scheduled for the last Friday of each month, some time between 08:30-22:30UTC. The time will vary based on artist locations to ensure a fair timeslot for everyone.
This is scalable as interest grows. Once demand exceeds what monthly events can handle, we will look to expand to fortnightly.
Who:
Each event will showcase a small number of artists over a 2-6 hour time period (extendable on request).
These are active participants in the NxM community looking for an opportunity to perform live to the metaverse.

How:
Audiato is the Event-as-a-Service provider, and aims to provide the required services to allow the artist to focus solely on being the artist.
These services include but are not limited to:
- Artist onboarding, including requirements and instruction pack for participants
- Simple URL for the artist to push from their browser to the ingest endpoint via sub-second latency P2P connection
- AV check to assess connectivity and audiovisual capabilities over the low-latency P2P
- One-on-one technical support to ensure smooth delivery, available by appointment from 08:30-19:30UTC 7 days a week
- Branding and overlay development and guidance to deliver a more polished and professional product, including social handles and wallet addresses, “coming up next” screens, hold screen countdown and more
- Virtual event management including production switching and show-running for seamless and punctual content delivery
- Multi-platform distribution of both the live event, and video-on-demand after the event has aired

Future Enhancements
- Cross-platform chat aggregation is currently only visible to the EaaS operator, but redirection of the chat to the active artist is currently being investigated.
- Near tipping via the aggregated chat (on participating platforms).
- Containerising the live infrastructure, to operate via Amazon ECS/EKS for 99.999% availability, and leverage a CDN for optimum contrib, ingest and viewing experience
- Moving to a streaming protocol focused on quality rather than minimum-latency.
- Two-way audio to allow live collaborations and audience participation
