Proposal FEMINU DAO - ART MOSTRA / Documentary MUDDING BODY with Dialogue with Marcela Schild

Objective: To value the Brazilian production of films/documentaries and cinema.
Share the experience of visual production.
Invite to listen to women victims of sexual violence, and point out how important it is to listen to them.

Justification: Considering that there is a large number of women who compose FEMINU, being cis or trans, we see the importance of listening to the experience of other women, as well as valuing their artistic production. Marcela Schild is the director of the documentary/short film CORPO MUDO (MOUTED BODY), which has already been shown at the SESC film festival and at the SANTA CRUZ DO SUL CINEMA Festival.
But the most important thing is the historical weight that this production has, it presents real stories, and gives space to listen to women who have gone through a traumatic situation and who accept and overcome to talk openly about what they went through.

We sampled the film produced by Marcela Schild and made the chat, the video was edited and is posted on FEMINU DAO’s youtube.

The importance of the debate about women victims of sexual violence is undeniable, we need dialogue.

Marcela emphasizes the importance of having made a documentary/film that shows the victims’ faces (with their authorization) because it humanizes these people.

The next step is a debate with non-binary people.

But soon we will have the screening of Marcela Schild’s film that portrays the situation of women who are mothers in prison.
