Hey,

This initiative has since been closed in favour of [Regional Hubs](https://near.org/blog/near-community-in-focus-near-regional-hubs/) which are rolling out around the world.

You can still get funding for in-person events via the [MarketingDAO](http://gov.near.org/t/guide-how-to-submit-a-funding-proposal-to-the-marketing-dao/4603).

In the not so distant future, we’ll be launching an events-focused initiative for global events.
