[Guide] How to submit monthly reports to the Marketing DAO

So, you’ve been funded.

First thing’s first - a huge congratulations from the MarketinDAO Vertical! :tada:

Now it’s time to put nose to the grindstone and BUIDL!

Between when a Guild or DAO submits their payout proposal for a month’s worth of projects and activities to the Marketing DAO Vertical SputnikDAO and when the next monthly proposal is posted on the Forum, we want to know how those initial projects went or are progressing.

We, therefore, request that between one payout from the Marketing DAO to the next, there is a brief reporting on the success of the project(s) ongoing or accomplished successfully in a reply to their original approved Forum post OR as its own topic with the “monthly-reports” tag.

Structure

The following is the recommended structure for this reporting and suggested metrics for project success:

Project Name:

Project Status: [In Progress/Completed]

Project Accounting: [Please post a brief updated project budget if materially differed from the original + the relevant Sputnik DAO address]

Updated Project Timeline:

Highlights:

Now’s your time to shine! :star: Share your successes, your highlights, your :fire: achievements - we’d love to see it!

Metrics:

Ok, ok, the boring part. Marketing is a data-driven industry (or we like to think so, anyhow!). Share the data, the numbers, the results, which have stemmed from your initiative.

Learnings:

We’re always evolving! Let us know the areas you’d live to improve upon moving forward, feedback from participants, and roadblocks - if applicable of course!

Next Steps:

Receiving funding isn’t the end of the line. If you’re experiencing a tangible benefit for your Guild or the wider NEAR Ecosystem then let us know where you’re heading next!

Please note:

Without this report on projects most recently supported by the Marketing DAO, the Council reserves the right to withhold or pause the granting of funding on future proposals or payout proposals “in progress” on the Marketing Vertical SputnikDAO.

Details, details, details

The more details you can provide in your report, the better! And if you prefer another format for delivering your report - such as making a 5-minute Loom video - per your comfort level and the ability to present visuals, we’re open to that too! In fact, we’re open for any format for the delivery of your report - feel free to be creative!

As long as we hear something from you, covering the aforementioned topics, this reporting mechanism is for Marketing Vertical DAO Council members to determine how best to support you, and as an update to the broader NEAR Community about the awesome things you’re doing. Who knows what future project collaborations and learnings for others could result from the information and updates you share?

Questions?

Fear not! You’re not flying blind. We’re always here to help. Feel free to submit questions and concerns in response to this thread, or reach out to members of the council ( @jcatnear @David_NEAR @cryptocredit)

Good morning!
Who is in dao marketing now? Ozys army? Guilds? Who else? Still not transparent.

How did you become councils?

Hello

It’s totally transparent, you just quoted the three members of the DAO.

@jcatnear and I are employed by the NEAR Foundation. As will likely be the case for most DAO Verticals, the initial Council will likely be made up of NF team members. However, the ultimate and longer term goal is to have 0 NF team members in any DAO Vertical council (and, in fact, make the NF redundant altogether).

@cryptocredit is a long-time Community member (oh, and absolute legend) and a marketing expert who expressed his interest in working to set up the DAO and help it to achieve success.

Interested in joining? Let’s jump on a call and we can discuss all things Marketing DAO!

Hey @Dacha , sorry I missed your comment (in another topic) about joining the council. Can you set some time on my calendly.com/jcatnear or DM me @jcatnear on Telegram so we can all connect? Excited to hear from you more!

Hi.
This is a good guide offered by you. Can you make a suggestion guide? To make everything clear and transparent in one sentence by breaking it down into points.

  1. The name of the project.
  2. Presenting the team with their social networks and wallets.
  3. The essence of the project, how their project will help the ecosystem.
  4. The requested amount of funding is broken down by a certain type of work (moderator of the channel N sum, contests to attract N sum, the work of artists and developers N sum, and the like).
  5. Expected metric indicating social networks and specify websites if any.
  6. The previous offer, the latest report and the wallet for which the grant is requested.
This will first of all make your work easier and speed up the voting process, you will not have to search for reports or social networks on the forum. Many projects write that they do not have time to receive a grant, and the month for which the amount was requested has already passed, this makes it difficult to work.

Perhaps if done this way, the work will be faster.

  1. From the 1st to the 5th day, submit a report.
  2. From the 6th to the 11th, submit an offer from the grant recipients.
  3. From 12 to 17, the consuls will consider proposals and vote.
  4. From 17 to 22, voting on the astrodao and passing the KYC.
  5. From 23 to 28 payment of the requested grant to the approved participants.
You can make the deadlines shorter or at your discretion, for example, make a report at the end of the month, and an offer at the very beginning. The mechanism of the Near ecosystem should work perfectly not only in the blockchain, but also on the forum and among the community.
    Thx
