With a clear goal in mind of making the NEAR community grow in Colombia and as part of the work that we are going to start doing for the LATAM Regional Hub we held the first NEAR Protocol online meetup in Colombia last April 19. We had 20 attendees. In this meetup the basics of blockchain and cryptocurrency were explained and how NEAR Protocol comes to play an important role to ease the onboarding process for newcomers into the crypto world. The main focus of the meetup was to let people know about the NCA and NCD courses that are offered by NEAR Hispano Guild and how they can be part and also benefit from the growth of NEAR in our LATAM countries.
