# Earning opportunities in NEAR (2025): bounties, gigs, retro rewards, DeFi, and stablecoins

Hi everyone! Could you please share what the most relevant ways to earn in the NEAR ecosystem are right now? I’m interested in options for both technical and non‑technical contributors.​

In the past there were great initiatives like NearCrowd and the Open Web Sandbox — are there any current equivalents or successors worth joining? I’m also looking for active points/retro programs, gig marketplaces, grants, and community activities.​

Specifically, I’m looking for:

- Current bounties/grants/quests run by ecosystem teams or foundations, ideally with a single hub or aggregator to track them.​

- Gig-style Work‑to‑Earn platforms (bounties, short projects, sponsorships) that pay out on-chain in NEAR or project tokens.​

- DeFi opportunities on NEAR (staking/liquidity/points/retro) that are active in 2025 and reputable.​

- Which stablecoins are available and liquid on NEAR right now (e.g., USDT/USDC), and where people typically hold/use them within the ecosystem.​

- Any ongoing point systems or testnet/data-contribution programs that may convert to tokens later (retroactive rewards).​

Quick context: I’m returning to NEAR and can commit to recurring tasks (content, testing, community support) and also technical contributions (scripts, integrations). Would really appreciate links to any official “Work & Earn”/ecosystem portals, gig boards, bounty hubs, and lists of live DeFi programs.​

Hi

At the moment the most relevant platform is [NEARN](https://nearn.io/) where anyone can post a bounty ([this](https://nearn.io/infra-committee/7/) one is from the Infrastructure Committee that covers a lot of stuff)

[RHEA](https://app.rhea.finance/) is the main DEX, has pretty much everything (lending, leverage, LPs, its own LST, etc.)  
Native staking is ~4.5% (we had a inflation reduction recently)

We have native USDT (usdt.tether-token.near) and USDC (17208628f84f5d6ad33f0da3bbbeb27ffcb398eac501a31bd6ad2011e36133a1) and several other bridged, can be used as supply/borrow on Rhea
