[APPROVED] Incubadora DAO August budget overview

Incubadora is splitting that amount with the Philosophers DAO. So the amount is correct, we participate with 320$.

A bit of context on this one (so new moderators know whats up). At the time (6 months ago ±) that we created the first Poliedro Catalogue we had a problem because the project demanded too much $ and it consumed almost all funds for that month; so we followed what, at the time, was considered common practice and started requesting 500/month in order to have, twice a year, 3000$ for the project.

(The Poliedro catalogue is a 6months retrospective of all the work from artists from the Artists Stipends)

With the bear market and our tokens valuing less we waited a bit in order to put the process in motion. That said, there is a big change in the way we are looking at the project now, because we want to integrate a monthly activity and spread the costs along the year, generating content for ourselves and for the community.

This inspired us: Current Problems with the NEAR NFT Landscape . We feel the DAOs in the community have to work more towards generating a strong NFT community.

The value we are requesting now includes:

  • a monthly value for the Poliedro #3 Catalogue - December 250$
  • efforts designing a webpage to be included in our website (incubadoradao.org) with constant curatorial efforts; pretty much like a work-in-progress art catalogue - 300$
  • We want to include works from our artists, works from other DAOs that we find on the NFTropolis Art Fair.
  • We want to generate at least 5 3XR Galleries with artwork from the community.
  • We plan to collaborate with other DAOs in showcasing their work on our page.

There are values we are requesting for this month. I am sorry if we didn’t put them more clearly before. As I said, at the time that we started this project guidelines were different.

To end, let me show some of the $ breakdown of the proper catalogue (we are not requesting this value, ofc, it’s a mix of previously requested funds (that value a loooooot less than at the time, average value per token was 10-15$ back then) and funds generated by selling NFTs and etc):

  • hiring a designer for digital and physical version 1000$
  • production (contacting artists, asking permissions for the use of artworks; minting specific NFTs; constant dialogue with the designer; contacting printing houses) 400$
  • printing of physical catalogue 500$
  • Catalogue launch (digital) 200$
  • catalogue launch (physical) 200$
  • design of a web page to add to our website 150$
  • production of the first content to add to the page 150$
  • efforts around NFTtropolis (this is requested on another topic, BUT we are adding this to our constant efforts, trying to capture artists for this Fair)

So, to conclude:

  • PREVIOUS funds requested are being spent producing a full art catalogue with a digital and physical component;
  • CURRENT funds are being requested for a overhaul of the project, that includes both the traditional catalogue (twice a year) and monthly efforts in curating projects in the community.

< design and management of uploads + creation of visual content - 100$
< research of artists in the community and outside (bringing them in), contacting them, selecting artwork, minting NFTs, adding info about artists, creating 3XR galleries in order to generate virtual exhibitions, social media efforts to market these artworks - 200$
