[Announcement] Marketing DAO Updates

Hi Near community!

A lot has been going on recently with the Marketing DAO and it’s time to share an update…

MDAO now fully integrated with NDC

We are happy to announce that our budget request for July (link) has been approved by the NDC trustees. We are now working to prepare our budgets for August and September. This should ensure that we are able to continue to support our amazing partners in the Marketing DAO constellation whilst aligning and supporting the goals of NDC.

MDAO Funding Guide

We are currently drafting a new guide that will give all the information needed for approved proposals to receive their funding promptly. We will be making a separate forum post shortly - in the meantime we have already sent invitations to complete KYC to July’s applicants.

Marketing focus for MDAO for August / September

Following conversations with both NDC and NF, we are working with new KPIs that will help support the NEAR ecosystem in two key areas.

NDC elections - the MDAO council are actively involved in the forthcoming NDC elections and will be working to ensure their success. We encourage all community members to get involved - your vote is important! Some key metrics for election success are:

  1. number of Humans (Voters)

  2. number of OGs

  3. number of Nominations

  4. number of Upvotes

  5. number of Comments

  6. number of Voter Turnout

  7. number of content producers/shared/retweeted

Developer Outreach - the NEAR Foundation would like to see more emphasis on building on BOS. This means getting more awareness of the platform, onboarding more developers from other communities and promoting the widgets and tools they build. Some key metrics for success are:

  1. number of active Developers
  2. number of active Users and Transactions
  3. number of Tools on BOS

Everyone in the community is encouraged to play their part to support the ecosystem by using their social channels to amplify the message in tweets from NDC (@neardc) and Near Foundation (@NEARProtocol).

This is good to hear.
And that’s the focus goal for the freelancer DAO for Q3 to focus on BOS & Election Education, Election Awareness and Campaign and we’ve been doing a good job around it  we all want the best for the V1 Election cause this is going to be the best Governance fully Decentralized and we want the best of all best to involve in this process.
Our first week of August is going well as we held a Workshop to educate about BOS Hosting one of the Mods of BOS (James) more updates next week from us.

We’ve more content and push but just posted few so people can view and be entertained why they get information about the election.
And other strategies to make this election the best and a success.

We’ve added our DAO wallet to our proposal

Hoping for response soon from the MDAO and we’re glad to be part of the Marketing DAO Constellation :raised_hands:.

I would suggest the MarComm of the NDC also try to reach out to Near Communities to Educate and create awareness on the Upcoming NDC Election.
