The main character, Andrea, is a young farmer from generations of farmers who likes her life but dreams to become more independent.
Andrea will face a number of challenges derived from intensive agricultural practices, land neglect, disconnection from the economic cycle, climate change. Some helpers will guide her to a clearer vision of her future as a farmer and human being.
Ideation and first Grant application
The idea for this project is to build an engaging portal for farmers and general public, guiding them into further research about Regenerative Agriculture, Permaculture and holistic methods to grow and farm.
Thanks to the funds Createbase granted, the first page of the comic is being completed, alongside the first object associated with the comic strip, a turnip, and the related seed pack.
These physical objects will be associated with each comic strip through a QR code that’ll direct to the definitive version, minted on mintbase: the pencils for the first comic strip can already be found here.
So let me see if I got it right:
You will sell the NFT for the comic in black and white? And then you’ll be sending the colourful version to that wallet and you will be sending the glass turnip and the seeds to the physical address of the person who bought it?

The black and white version of the first comic strip has been minted already, but will be up for auctions (6 of its 8 editions) as soon as we’ve got everything ready, i.e. after phase 4 is completed.
The owners will receive the completed comic strip’s NFT and several physical objects such as seeds and high quality printed goods (Andrea grows’ Stickers set and ‘Andrea grows - Sketchbook’).
One randomly selected collector will also receive the featured physical artwork for this strip which is a turnip glass sculpture made by artist Elisa Sberna.
These days we are selecting the best turnip varieties so we can verify the germinability of their seeds, here’s a photo of heirloom yellow turnip sprouts from this morning:

the price of near has changed a lot since the proposal was approved. We need to adapt the price to what it was worth in USD at the moment of proposing!
I based my payout proposal from the 1000 dollars agreed, not on the NEAR price, as we discussed. The conversion today was for 25.25 NEAR (250 dollars, 1/4 of the funding scheme approved) but I cut it to 25 for simplicity. Does this calculation work for you?
