# CORE

## [Node Interfaces](https://github.com/near/nearcore/discussions/4253)

- We are releasing [indexer 0.6.0](https://github.com/near/near-indexer-for-explorer/pull/96) which moved indexer to stable Rust and uses most recent neard version;
- We also did some work on [reducing boilerplate](https://github.com/near/nearcore/pull/4229) in our code base;

## [Contract Runtime](https://github.com/near/community/blob/master/meetings/contract-runtime-wg.md#22042021)

- We have merged precompilation of the contracts which should greatly increase our TPS;
- We can now reproduce locally execution of any contract from the testnet, which is an important step towards better devtools for our users!

## [Transaction Runtime](https://github.com/near/community/blob/master/meetings/chain-wg.md#april-19th-2021)

- Join our discussion on [global storage](https://github.com/near/NEPs/issues/93)!

## [Chain](https://github.com/near/community/blob/master/meetings/chain-wg.md#april-19th-2021)

- We did some [preventive refactoring](https://github.com/near/nearcore/pull/4238) in core code to avoid future bugs;

## [Network](https://github.com/near/community/blob/master/meetings/chain-wg.md#april-19th-2021)

- We did more work on the new routing table exchange mechanism around bug fixes and testing;

# [AURORA](http://gov.near.org/t/aurora-update-2021-04-23/1389/3)

- We deployed up to 70% more efficient NEAR client which saves us up to ~2k USD a day;
- Check out our [NEP-141 bridging scheme](https://miro.com/app/board/o9J_lJyoV8I=/);
- We added [precompiles for Instanbul hardfork](https://github.com/aurora-is-near/aurora-engine/pull/21);
- Overall, we are preparing for Aurora release 🙂
